Champions Goes Online July 14

Not like it'll be any good at launch anyway. It sounds alright but it will be morbidly funny watching it flop.

If it's anywhere near as detailed as the actual Champions system it may be too much for some people, but if some of the stuff behind the scenes is automated I guess it'll be better than the pen and paper version.

My big question is on just how much things are differentiated from City of Heroes.  I heard that the mission mechanic will be more dynamic, at least. I would hate to see a game like this devolve into a bunch of carbon copied X-Men clones or dudes with rainbow wigs and clown noses, but I guess if you give the peoples the freedom, they will surprise you with both fantastic creativity and painful mediocrity.

Here's hoping that the character creation system is as interesting as they keep saying.

I've been following this for ages, I've always been very tempted by WoW but love the idea of getting in for the start of a Comic hero based world. Also is it going to be subscription based? I'd prefer to have this on my xbox, will a Live subscription cover it or will they want fees ontop?

What really sets this one apart is how you traverse the environment. You can swing around like Spiderman or surf around the city like the Silver Surfer.

No 360 version, no buy.  I was interested as I enjoyed City of Heroes for a good 2 weeks.

When the hell are they gonna release info on the 360 version? I'm tired of upgrading PC's to play games. I mean seriously. Even if you go for a low end rig that will run these things your looking at a cost over a new PS3. Only to play the 1 or 2 games a year worth playing on the PC?

This was suppose to be released on the 360 at the same time.  I guess we go another Conan on our hands.  Too bad, I was geared up to finally play a mmo on the 360.  I loved CoH but I don't have a PC that can handle newer games. ;(

dude, champions are champions.  Look it up in a dictionary.  I can't wait for this game.

I think its cool that i dont really know much about champions. Its not going to stop me from enjoying it if its a good game.

Seems like a decent MMO. Only problem is, nobody knows what Champions are. Look at DC Universe, people actually know what that's about.

I loved City of Heroes, if this game attracts the same community, and maybe throws in a few more activities, I could be looking at a cruel, cruel summer.

I might check it out when it comes out.
