Club Nintendo Reward Makes Me Insane With Jealousy

just got my calendar.  what an underwhelming piece of crap.  i've been a nintendo fanboy forever and seeing this calendar is like meeting your favorite celebrity in person and them slapping you in the face and calling you a loser.  i know it was free, but still, this is something i could have printed out myself.

I'm actually going to get the hat, and it's already ordered!  I actually got the Hanafuda Cards today! They look pretty good, and I like the artwork.  I also like how the case can open from both sides.

I'm sorry that you wasn't able to reach platinum status this year. Maybe next year will be a better year for you.  And hey, you might be able to get something that you like even better!

Can't decide... my son wants me to get the hat, but I'm torn. On one hand I'd like to wear the hat and see if it helps me dunk, I've always wanted to dunk. Never had the right hat.  On the other hand, I'd love to have a sweet fight with a black guy. Not that I dislike black guys. I just would for once like to be in a situation where I can fight a black guy and maybe win. But I really like Doc. He's my mentor and friend, and star punching the fellah is a moral dillema if I'm being honest. I don't know that I want anybody to hurt Doc.  Plus he's the one who encouraged me to join this club in the first place, and seems an unjust though wonderfully ironic result.

I may have to go with the calendar.

I registered mario galaxy and mario kart, does that mean I have coins?  i'm doubting I'll ever have enough for this, its stupid.

Eff the game, it'd only be cool for five minutes of fight anyway. Just go play punch out while you've got your sweet new Mario hat on.

That mario hat does look cool, but I want to fight Doc, so that is what I will be doing.

I don't see what is so great about that Wii Ware game... I'm certainly not rotting with jealousy.

As cool as it is to fight Doc, I'm going with the Mario Cap. Having an actual cap seems better then a glorified demo in my opinion anyways.

Im not even gonna put my order in, the stuff you can order for coins is downright insulting, and so is this.

Well, I've been trying on and off for hours to redeem my Doc Louis prize, and Club Nintendo's website keeps timing out. So don't feel TOO bad yet. ;)

EDIT: It really IS pretty hilarious that Doc told everybody to join Club Nintendo.  You have noone to blame but yourself. :-p

I ended up getting the hat. I stole codes from all my friends, thus gaining me platinum.

Sadly, I didn't make Platinum status. That hat looked so sweet, and I'd love to fight Doc. He didn't tell us to join Club Nintendo for nothing.

Oh well, I'm fine with the calender.

pretty average incentives over there in the states, fellas - apart from the punch out gear. but thank god for waninkoko's wad manager lol.

Dumb calendar!

I ordered the hat. I figured the Doc Louis fight would lose it's impact after an hour at best. Plus, I much rather have a PHYSICAL item than DLC.

I'd take the Mario hat and sell it online. Some sucker would probably pay a reasonable amount for it.

Wait, they were offering a game too? I didn't know that... I thought you'd just get the Mario hat for reaching platnium status. Well...at least I got the callender I guess. That's better than nothing.

Seems that a lot of people are trying to take advantage of Nintendo's offer. The club nintendo portion is currently down for maitinence.

From reading these comments and seeing that almost everyone got the Mario hat I can't help but wonder if this wasn't just a huge conspiracy by Nintendo. They give you some meh DLC and then an awesome Mario hat to pick from. You obviously don't pass up a Mario hat so now no one has the DLC and then Nintendo can charge for it in a few months. It's genius!

Yeah I got the hat as well, I would rather have a physical object than something I'll play a couple times, then have take up space on my Wii for an eternity.

I had a load of games registered to Nintendo before this club but somehow they locked my account, so even if I wanted to take part, the codes I have are now void. Thanks for the big 'thank you' you gave me for playing your games since nineteen eighty freaking eight. *sigh*
