Deus Ex: Human Revolution Pre-Order DLC And LE Set Announced

In Deus Ex: Human Revolution, you'll unravel a global conspiracy and presumably rub against that techno future's grain. A special 10-extra-dollar Limited Edition version of the game has been revealed for those interested in dropping a wee bit of extra coin for the usual array of exclusives. Also, special pre-order bonus DLC packs have been announced for those who may want to go the extra mile and reserve their copies through the brick-and-mortar equivalents of The Man.

Let's talk about the LE pack first, lovingly dubbed the "Augmented Edition." In the set, you'll get a 40-page art book, a "Making Of" DVD that also includes the game's soundtrack and "special trailers," premium packaging, and a motion graphic novel. 

This edition, pictured just below, will be sold on release day for $59.99 on PC and $69.99 on consoles.

I hate pre-order DLCs :). Well, I hate when we get overpowered stuff like in New Vegas. "
Longsword Whisperhead Extreme Range Sniper Rifle" and "Huntsman Silverback Double-Barrel Shotgun" sounds as bad as Weathered 10mm pistol.

Probably won't end up seeing something to this extent for pre-order in New Zealand, but will still wait and see.
 
I really like art books as bonus content. I hope we get some kinda of alternate costume or something.

While I may or may not buy the game, I do appreciate that the extra stuff is only $10 more on all platforms.  That seems like a decent value, as opposed to Castlevania's craptacular $20 markup for less.

Well then, I guess I won't be getting this on Steam... 
 
I hate GameStop, but I'm forced to pre-order from them for the content. I hate what they're doing, but am too weak to stand up to it.

Sign me up for a limited edition, the soundtrack and making of discs are enough for me the other crap is just icing on the cake.

JC's cameo will be the reason I get this from GS. I hate all this pre-order DLC shit these days, too, but that's just too interesting for me to pass up.

For only $10 more?  Bought.  I just hope it's not too dumbed down, and judging by the gameplay videos I've seen that doesn't seem to be a problem.

Is it just me or does his head look too small for his body? And "EXTREME LONG RANGE SNIPER RIFLE" that he uses to shoot baddies that are basically at his feet.

Torn as always. Am I the only the one who struggles with pre-order bonus offers?
 
I like the sound of the tactical pack, but I always worry that I'll mess up the game starting difficulty level that the developers had in mind by using potentially over-powered pre-order bonuses.

Oh wow that's annoying (the GameStop preorder bonus). I would like an art book though and am defintely gonna pick it up, so maybe I'll preorder.
 
But that's the worst for cautious Deus Ex fans who want to find out how the game compares to the first two before they take the plunge.

If I get the PC edition you can bet your ass that I'll be "pirating" the pre-order bonus DLC. Gamestop can get fucked.

You are missing the point. In order to get a mission that are in fact a part of the final product, i need to pre-order it from Gamestop. If it was a general pre-order for evey store, Ok, but this is BS. I can understand small pre-order bonuses from each store like skins and a new weapon or some sort, and i can understand more content for a new copy, but this is getting out of hand. In couple of years probably 20% of the fucking game can only be unlocked when you pre-order it at Gamestop. Fuck this fuck. "

It's not part of the final product. It's additional content. You lose nothing if you don't buy it. Nor are you forced to buy it. If you don't want to buy it, then don't fuckin' buy it. If you want to play it, then buy it. It's that simple. "

This pre-order stuff is getting ridiculous.  I'm just going to get it on Steam after reviews go up.

I find it really funny that that double barreled shotgun has a crazy futuristic holographic ammo counter just to tell you there are two damn shells in the thing. I think that would be easy enough to remember.

If the DLC includes a cameo from ole' JC count me in.

Why this is happening just confuses me. And I already know I'm going to, probably that is, get the pc disk version from an online retailer. Just what works for me in the overarching capitalist grind that is going on here.
