Some cold and hard financial business and poor reception of, presumably, Final Fantasy XIV, has prompted Square Enix to push back the release of Eidos Montreal's shooter Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The publisher now wants the game to see a release in its next fiscal year, which begins in April 2011 and runs through March 31, 2012, according to Joystiq. Previously, the next Deus Ex was supposed to be released in Q1 2011. GameStop had it pegged for a March 2011 release when the Limited Edition bundle and pre-order bonuses were announced earlier this month.
This disappointing bit of information was gathered from a recent Square Enix holdings document, which also mentions that Eidos will "further polish" Human Revolution during the delay.

This is a bummer, but it's not like there's a shortage of games coming out in Q1 2011. Fight Night Champion, Test Drive Unlimited 2, Dead Space 2, Killzone 3, Dragon Age II, and many more triple-A games are all still set to hit during this window. If none of these are turning your crank, you're broken (or only like cyberpunk shooters, which means about that same thing).
