Don't Panic! Hothead Games Bringing Back Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Loved the book, the radio series, and the movie (missed the TV series), but the fact that there isn't a cohesive Hitchhiker's Guide canon could wreak havoc with the game's reception. No matter what they do, some fans will be unhappy.

If it's got the thing your aunt gave you which you don't know what it is, you can count me in!

My favorite book.

A H2G2 game has the potential to be good.  Humour is obviously not everybody, but I love it.  But...it is a hallowed series with an outstanding video game out already (decades ago but still).  I'll remain open to the idea, but can't help but hope they don't fuck it up.

It really depends on what kind of game it is.

Perfect! Can they handle the non-sequitur world while still keeping it above Deathspank level humour? We'll find out!

Cautiously optimistic, I guess. I'd like a Hitchhiker's Guide equivalent to Earthbound. A completely irreverent RPG through space and time.

They better not eff this up...  also, I wonder which HHG version this will be based on, The movie, the book? the TV show? the radio play?  they were all slightly different.   This will be the first incarnation of HHG that Douglas Adams didnt work on in some way.

okay i have my towel in hand and i shall not panic, i hope they get this right there are a lot of neat little things which i hope they put in, i hope Stephen fry does the narration like he did in the forgettable film

I'm ecstatic that Hitchhiker's Guide continues to receive attention, as I am a huge fan of the novels, but part of me wishes TellTale was doing this rather than Hothead. The Penny Arcade games were good, so I'll hold out hope for this.

I wonder how much money they've spent on pot of petunias/whale middleware.

The fact that they announced this on Towel Day is so goddamn classy.

I caught so much shit for carrying my towel with me throughout school today. Whatever man, I'm just prepared. I'm pretty excited for this, it sounds like a good union. I just wish Telltale was doing it, probably like everybody else. 

Hell Yeah! I'll get my towel ready.
BTW, better to be an action based game, not AVG style, pleeeeeeeeease...
