You guys should consider Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine. It's a free Persona MMORPG if you haven't heard of it.

I gave it a try not too long ago. It was bad, but in funny ways. It looked like it could have been a decent game, but the combat system was clunky to the point where it was hilarious. Some attacks make your character charge at the enemy, but you actually end up running right past them into the other part of the room, so the game thinks you're out of combat. Stuff like that might have been fixed by now, but I had a hilarious time back when I tried it.

It'd be a very good endurance run. And yes it still has plenty of funny dialogue.

My second choice would be Madden 10 franchise for the, what, 30 seasons you can go through?

As much as I'd really love to see another Persona game run-through, I don't think you should focus on any one franchise for these things. Also, no MMOs. It's boring enough grinding through them, but *watching* someone grind through it... The Matrix Online was okay only because it was shutting down, and then they ended up just giving you unlimited amounts of experience and equipment anyway. There was no grinding to do. Plus, an MMO never truly ends, anyway, unless it actually is a case where the MMO is being shut down.

I think the mumorpuger Aion would be pretty cool as an Endurance Run.

I think an open world game along the lines of a Saint's Row 2 would be a pretty good endurance run, in terms of serious suggestions.

Guild Wars could be an option as its got the basic stuff an MMO does but at a smaller scale plus its pretty mission focused so you don’t have to grind a lot like Eve would (based on my 10 day trail experience its going to be pretty bad watching them mine all day).

At the end of the day, it wouldn't be much of an endurance run UNLESS it was an RPG.

I don't think going through a ten hour game classes as "enduring".

And as for a multiplayer endurance run? Man that'd be really boring. Unless it was an MMO.

Eve would be awesome to endure; you'd have to get pretty high up in the rungs of the game for it to be worthwhile, from what I've heard.

Halo 3 would also be sweet; the prospect of Jeff and Vinny hurling replies at angry ten y/o kids is very inticing.

Tales of Vesperia ps3 version (once it comes out) or Tales of Vesperia 360 version (it is not full voice acted and gives Vinny the chance to go bananas).

I've gotta say on that list the most appealing seems to be Korg DS-10. I am legitimately curious as to the jams you would make.

I'm not a big fan of RPG'S but it'd defo have to be one, where's the endurance in an FPS? The longest wait is the drive home from Game(Station) or other retailers

Seriously though, Eve online is dull in short bursts. You need big chunks of time to accomplish anything. Lots of flying around through space and mining asteroids and shit. Not too great to watch. Also you kind of need to be able to communicate with other people to get the most out of it. I think that rules out nearly all the online games for endurance runs. Nobody wants to watch Jeff and Vinny ragequit after getting ganked for half an hour.

it would have to a game that is:
A. long, but have a definite ending

B. full of personality and a bit out there

C. something that they can comment on easily

D. of a decent pace

E. something that not too many people have played
this would exclude multiplayer games, and the only long single player games are RPG's. Also, the RPG's with the most unique personalities and styles are JRPG's, and due to most of the userbase coming from North America and Europe finding a JRPG that is quirky and relatively obscure shouldn't be too hard. Or they could play it safe and start up Persona 3.....

Little King's Story would make for a good shorter Endurance Run, the gameplay lends itself to joke making along with the enemies you face.

Plus it just seems so right.

I'm coming up short when it comes to recommending a specific game, but the team should follow the spirit of the original Endurance Runs: exposing more gamers to under-rated/under-appreciated games that should have sold a lot better (in the vein of Beyond Good & Evil, perhaps?).

Would like to see how long they could last hearing the high pitched screeches of Halo 3 multiplayer but I vote for Eve Online. Wanna see all that crazy bank robbing action in space.
