I live in Europe and the release date is different. A lot of GB subscribers don't live in the US.

@nethlem: This seemed a bit gross to me but I don't live in Europe so I'm not sure how it will actually affect users but anything related to broadband capping by ISP is pretty lowdown.

@geekbot: Its actually a new 12GB version, not 120GB. Its a budget SKU designed to play disc and other smaller PSN titles, ie. not the downloadable version of Last of Us.

Overall, I'm surprised that they didn't publish an actual games launch lineup. Maybe waiting until after TGS where they finally announce that the Last Guardian is a launch title?

Oh I knew about the "Supercharged PC" bit I just thought that people just kinda rasberried that statement off.

Patrick, please, this is a Gamescom article. At least throw in the stuff that's relevant to Europeans. I'm American, and this article makes me kind of embarrassed.

@djou: The only reason Deutsche Telekom can even pull this off, is because they have the majority market share in broadband sector (45%) and they own all the infrastructure (That German tax payers paid for in the first place, back in the day when it still was Deutsche Post).

So they silently added the volumen caps to all the contracts when somebody changed something about his plan or it's been time to extend it. Telekom states they won't enforce the volume caps until the year 2016. But that's an even bigger joke considering the most popular plan only come with 75 GB of free traffic. 75 GB of traffic are next to nothing today, in 2016 you won't be able to do shit with 75 GB of traffic.

But right now it's all a pretty big mess. Nobody knows if other ISP's are gonna follow suit or if other ISP's are gonna use this to steal as many customers as possible from Deutsche Telekom.

@sergio: Haha sorry about that! Guess the reason for that being that in German we have a similar idiom with a slightly different meaning. In German it's something like: "Zu jedem Topf gibt es einen passenden Deckel!". A rough English translation would be: "For every pot there is a matching kettle!".

In this context i simply meant that Sony seems to be the missing kettle that Deutsche Telekom, the pot, has been looking for ;)

But na, I just get a bit annoyed when articles on the net say "everything you need to know about..." and then aim it solely at a US demographic, and then I end up getting bummed out when those features and dates don't apply to me. Luckily, I watched the stream of this so knew that the release date for me wasn't 15th Nov, but other EU people on here who didn't see the stream or were at work might get hype for the release date, not realising its US only.

I will say, though, the PS4 is still missing a game that makes me go "oooooooh good I really, really want to play that." Microsoft would have that with Titanfall but, oh thank goodness, I can get it on PC. And I guess 360 but I'd expect that to be pretty well gimped.

So many whiny Europeans complaining that information they already know isn't in a NEWS article whose entire point for existing is to inform.

Seems like just yesterday Sony was the "C student" of the gaming world.

I totally understand being opposed to the Xbox One for whatever reasons (as there are many) but the games media have seriously just shit the bed on this whole thing. I would never wish failure on Sony because I'm not a dick, and I preordered it during the press conference too....what frustrates me (because I want to think these writers/podcasters/bloggers aren't swayed by hype of fanboy-ism - that's supposed to be why the get all the products for free) even after the stupid prisoner of the moment e3 hype died down the media is still not pointing out Sony failed to live up to what was expected of them in the past generation while MS continued to one up them with new things, i.e. reinvented their entire platform UI what three times?, constantly added tons of services, and had a network that actually worked and was secure.

Sure Microsoft doesn't deserve any pity for how poorly they handled the announcement and development process of this console, but they deserve way more credit and in the same regard Sony doesn't deserve all the fellatio they're recieveing for scrambling to find games to put on Vita over the past year and basically falling into a winning situation when the media has unanimously interpreted it as "Sony really gets the indie scene, maaaaan."

It's sorta how I feel about Steam fanboyism as well - I mean Steam as an actual program and interface is awful. The program is shit. Yeah, we all like to get stuff cheap but for fucks sake when I click on a game link to read about it and then hit the "back" button Steam can't even remember my place on it's store...I can't imagine allowing something that simple is broken yet nobody says shit. There's games on Steam even Steam doesn't know are there it's so hard to find stuff NOT on the four columns they want to show you. Yet I lost track counting how many times they slammed XBL interface on the Bombcast...seriously? How could you possibly get lost on their store, it's nothing special but it's laid out so clearly I used to want to scream...it was two buttons to find every new release each week and Vinny while being hilarious would be bitching about being lost in his Xbox LOL!...I don't know I got off on a tangent.

All in all - let's stop with so much hyperbole and stick to facts sprinkled with the funny.

ON TOPIC: I doubt you'll hear anything about Sony doing a "180" and copying Microsoft on using twitch as their central video sharing partner instead of Ustream.

Patrick Klepek does not sully his articles with references to Old Europe. It's a miracle Sony even managed to telegram it's conference from that godforesaken, urine soaked, hell-hole. It's better to bask solely in the warm glow of these United States, and November the 15th: the only date that matters.

Rime and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture look really interesting. Can't wait to see more. I was hoping to see some gameplay for The Order but I'll wait till later.

It's already at £169 here, the EU got a price cut to 199 euros. The EU and US price cuts bring it relatively closer to the UK price.

Lack luster to say the least, I felt the indie news took way to long we already knew they were being supported. Interface looked alright, i was hoping for news on the cloud service and if they would be doing anything like M$ with servers etc. Rogue legacy is good news, i have the demo but haven't bought it yet on pc. Was also hoping for a 500$ vita bundle, oh well.

And i don't think they dropped ustream, they'll probably support both.

Shows touchpad typing of a very nice and accurate degree, it took seven seconds from clicking "join" on the stream until he came in and spawned ready to play, and that is enough of a Streaming machine to suit most people now as a PS4 webcam overlay turns out to be an actual thing.

Very good news. And it's like an expanded PS3 XMB and not a mess of a UI. What a beaut!

Pretty strong showing from the indie side at least. Getting Twitch is pretty big. The dig at MS was lame, it was great during E3 but now you're taking shots at the competition for changing to meet customer demands. Real classy.

I do think it's interesting they didn't say a word about Gaikai (unless I've missed something) so far there's been a long of game being talked about how it's as good as MS's cloud without much from Sony or devs to back it up.
