Fallout: New Vegas Is Your Most-Anticipated 2010 Release

At least that's what my highly unscientific Twitter-based pseudo-poll says!

In the wake of LittleBigPlanet 2 getting delayed into 2011, I found my faith in 2010's holiday release season shaken. So, like I do in all times of crisis, I turned to Twitter last week, where I asked people about their most-anticipated game from the remainder of this year.

I ended up cutting out a few responses, since I didn't have the heart to tell the few people that mentioned it that Portal 2 wasn't due out this year. Also, this wasn't exactly conducted via scientific science. Some people mentioned one game, others mentioned four or five. I counted them all. As long as people replied with a game title and didn't say so in a joking or obviously negative way, it went on the list. Oh, and keep the time frame in mind. This was asked just before Dead RIsing 2 was released and before stuff like Two Worlds II had been delayed into 2011.

I thought the results were pretty interesting, so here they are, presented with the number of mentions they received. Fallout: New Vegas, as you can see, walks away as the most-anticipated game by a pretty definitive margin. Also kind of fascinating--though not necessarily surprising to see DJ Hero 2 bringing in more mentions than this year's Guitar Hero.

Looks like people want to hit the wasteland and do some gambling.

Did your game make the list, or are you waiting for something even more obscure than Zettai Hero Project?
