Free Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood DLC Hitting In December

Need a new Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood level or mode to stab dudes in? Want 'em or not, you'll be getting both if you choose to grab "Animus Project Update 1.0," a free DLC pack which should hit both Xbox Live and PSN on December 14, according to Ubisoft.

The new map, "Mont Saint-Michel," is set on the island of Normandy, France. Ubisoft says to expect plenty of tight steets, high places, and multi-tiered buildings. It also says that the scenery is "breathtaking," so do remember to focus on inhaling and exhaling the first time you see it.

Man, I really need to get to trying out multiplayer, but the single player portion is so good!

Already DLC!? im still waiting to just play the normal game!

Cool beans.  Just got finished playing some AC: Brotherhood multiplayer myself.

New map? Awesome!
 
New mode? Awes... wait a second... that's not a new mode. heeeeyy! :-(

nice.  gotta work my way through AC2 first.

This weekend is a free Gold Weekend so I will be playing the multiplayer pretty much exclusively since I only have Silver at the moment.

New mode? Meh. New Map? YES. 
If Bad Company 2 had that new maps attitude going into the whole free DLC thing, then I would imagine there would be happier people over there.

Damn, I better finish the game off soon, I'm only up to Chapter 5 and have spent 26 hours exploring, buying everything and training up my Assassin's trainees.

I've yet to actually jump into the multiplayer, wanted to get the single finished first. Slightly worried there's going to be a huge gap in player quality, steep lever of entry or whatever. I'll give it a go soon though, and free DLC is awesome.

I heartily approve of this price point for DLC. 

Seriously, this sounds like a cool little bonus.

Female masquerade assassin looks hot in these screens, if I get AC2 Brotherhood I'll definitely pick this DLC up.

Screw the DLC. Fix the damn bugs. Right now I have a copy of Brotherhood collecting dust while I wait for them to fix it.

Good to hear from Ubisoft that this game is doing well for them. It is a pretty great game and I was worried due to all the marketing confusion that is was not going to sell. Everybody at my work thought it was a multi-player focused game with little or no single player content and I work for a game developer.

Yeah, thanks alot Ubi, but please... patch the regular game first, and then give us new bugs with a dlc.

Alliance sucks and I imagine Advanced Alliance will advanced suck but new maps is super neat-o, there need to be more maps.

I actually went there in real life two summers back. Beautiful place, but like Venice it's literally crawling with tourists packed into the tiny streets shuffling forward to reach the top of the island. Also, something about this map seems a bit off. There's a lot more natural growth on the island, but maybe it wasn't always like that.

I've already finished the main story, almost have all the collectibles, completed most of the side quests, and pretty much rebuit Rome 100%. Plus the multiplayer is hella fun. More face and neck stabbing? Hell yeah. Bring on the DLC; I'm ready for more.

Give me single-player DLC, please!

Looks pretty decent. I like this idea of handing out free DLC, but it raises the bar for paid DLC when they do so. If I get something great for free, I'm going to be expecting something truly great if I've got to pay. But it's free, so even if it's just "meh" I can't really complain.

Hate to say it but the busy street maps are the worst kind, the big open areas make for the best MP games, less climbing around and chasing guys up buildings. But hey, I'll still take it.

I feel like I should point out that Normandy isn't an island.
