Someone has probably said this, but I think they will announce it for March, then push it back to May. Just like GTA IV, RDR, LA Noire, and Max Payne 3.

Patrick is right: People are still peeved about Red Dead Redemption not getting a PC release (myself included). However we did get one for L.A. Noire so I was happy about that.

I fully expect the PC version will come 6 months after the console versions. This has been the way of things for Grand Theft Auto since at least San Andreas. I don't like it, but that's the way Rockstar have chosen to roll.

I can only imagine that we'd be better informed about what this game is if Game Informer's shitty exclusivity deals didn't exist.

I hope that Rockstar implemented the animals from Red Dead into GTA V because I can't stop thinking of the idea of Hummer vs. Bear .

Absolutely not by this point. GI didn't dictate their marketing plan, it's simply a tool. They would be releasing info at the same time.

Doubt we will. Apparently the game is such an insane coding mess that it would be easier to simply make a new game than make sense of its guts. After how they treated the LA Noire PC release I think I'll be grabbing the console version. The LA Noire for PC had some graphical issues which really grated on my nerves. Not to mention GTA4 on the PC as well, which had it's set of issues.

As an aside, I really liked the dating/friendship stuff in GTA4. I thought it added some interesting stories. Especially Brucie, who just makes me laugh every time I play.

I'm sure we'll get a PC version at some point, it's just a matter of when and how good the port will actually be. Max Payne 3 had a great PC port so I have a little hope (not a lot though) that Rockstar will do a good job with GTA V. I still occasionally reinstall GTA IV on my PC and mess with mods. It'll be a tough wait, but I've been a PC gamer for a long time so I'm used to it. I just wish that they would confirm (or deny if that is actually the case) that there is a PC version.

It's a shame they're not planning on doing a PC version already, I bet it'll come out about a year after the console versions.

I really hate how Rockstar treats PC gamers as second rate customers. I don't want to play GTAV on consoles with huge FPS dips and crappy controller stick aiming, IV was so much better on PC With 100+ FPS at all times and smooth aiming controls, not to mention mods.

I wish people would stop treating PC like it doesn't matter. At least the indie community is thriving on PC.

Yeah, the game tells you that within the first couple of minutes you acquire the phone. No one will bother you ever again. It's great when you want to do stunt jumps or track down pigeons or just mess around with no worries. Also, no relationship status will be affected when your phone is on silent mode.

No surprise when its coming out. Look at all of their other games this generation. April/May releases. The real question is the PC[...]

What do you mean "despite" the pattern of PC ports. This is absolutely the way they handled GTA4, They didn't even allude to a PC port existing until it was about to come out 6 months later. This is exactly how they do things.
 
However that won't stop everybody with the attention span of a goldfish from knee-jerking and posting empty threats. Crazy people did it last time. It'll happen next time too.

Why would there be a mirror in the middle of the beach? I am cautiously optimistic about this game, this better not be GTA IV all over again, probably my least favorite GTA to date.

I swear, the PC version better be good. Max Payne 3 was awesome on PC so they really don't have an excuse (not like they had one with GTA 4 or LA Noire or the non-existent Red Dead for pc, but still.)

That's why I'm waiting to see what GTA V brings to the table. I agree GTA IV was flawed (especially the PC version) but I really want to see another GTA game that freaking blows me away like san andreas did.

Millions of PC gamers. Even with how shitty GTA IV was on PC, the mod community was huge and created a lot of awesome stuff. The modding potential for GTA V is huge especially if the vanilla game is technically sound.

how the hell are you getting 100+ fps at all times for GTA IV for PC?

Max Payne 3 being a linear level-based game might explain why it turned out well on the PC.

I do agree about the Red Dead Redemption point, I wish they would bundle all the DLC, maybe enhance the graphics and release the game on steam. I'm sure the game would sell.

Uh what? No, it's not "as always". As stated in the post, Red Dead never even came to PC, which is the one game of theirs I actually really wanted on here.
