Grindhouse of the Dead

Looking back, House of the Dead 2 was probably one of my first encounters with campy, so-bad-it's-good video-game production values. Between that infinitely quotable game and its QWERTY-based spin-off, Sega has managed to build up a substantial amount of goodwill for the series with me--probably more than an aging on-rail shooter franchise deserves. All that aside, you've gotta give it up for Sega for this new trailer for House of the Dead: Overkill for the Wii. It's like my favorite parts of Grindhouse, but in video-game form! I just hope that the game itself has nearly as much style as this trailer.

i'm always hoping for that one new good HotD game. If this game is good i'm gonna be sooo happy :D

I love the Grindhouse style of film and this trailer hits it perfectly. If they can translate that through to the game it'll be awesome. One of the best trailers I've seen in a while too

I find Vinyl flooring more interesting than a House of the dead announcement

The first one is the best rail shooter of all time, only narowly beating out the second Time Crisis game. The second was quality because it ws hilarious.

The third one was a heap, hopefully they will bring back some of the old fun for this awesome looking 4th installment. I still have yet to forgive them for packaging 2 and 3 on the Wii instead of 1 and 2.

I doubt the game will be any good, considering, you know, rail shooters. Not the hottest commodity anymore. But that trailer was brilliant.

Excited. Light gun games haven't been given their just due on the system.

i dont get the hate for rail gun games, there stupid fun and this seems to embrace the stupidity of the genre more than most other rail gun shooters. i am curious  about this one.

OMG that has to be one of the best game trailers I've seen in quite a while. If the game companies did all their trailers like this I'm sure that more people would buy the games.

The_A_Drain this is the 5th actually, 4 is an arcade title also. This could be fun, it's hard to make a trailer for a rail shooter exciting but Sega managed to do just that, and with barely showing any of the game, ha... Good stuff, rail shooters rock, bring on a new Virtua Cop after this :D

I bought a Wii for House of the Dead 2&3 Return. So, yeah, I'm looking forward to this one. :D

The game might be good, but the commercial was horrible.

I welcome it to the Wii with open arms.. Anything other than gay cooking games are welcome by me.

You DO know that they came out with a HotD4 already, right?
They never released it on any consoles, but they released it to... um... those places that are supposed to be arcades called Dave and Busters... since we don't have any more REAL arcades in the US... sadly...

Even if the game dosen't turn out good, they have the best game advertisement!!

I think this game is in better hands at a Western developer. I can't wait to give that amusement park a ride!

Looks alright.. I'll wait and see.

Will be hard to make the gameplay resemble that kind of theme, maybe they'll just have plenty of cut-scenes. Anyway, good idea to spice the series up a bit. HotD 3 was extremely decent (also no pushback on the shotgun and it felt cheap overall), 4th was much better but I didn't bother to try it more than few times. Maybe this will come to arcades also later. Would be worth the purchase if they'd release a light gun for Wii, the remote is too much like a mouse in my opinion, it's decent for this kind of game but definitely not gonna pay full price no matter how good game it might be.
