Depending on how much this cost, it might be worth it for Baseball Stars. Who am I kidding, its worth it no matter what.

Always wanted a Ne Geo, but that $700 for the console and $200 per game was redunk! Hope this is affordable!

Its worth it if the price is not ridiculous. I'd buy it mainly cus that seems like a real nostalgic trip.

Seems like a pretty low risk, and kinda fun move for SNK. If it comes in around $100 or less, I might get one.

D definitely existed. I can verify that in Baseball Stars 2, the D button activates "Time Out"

Are all games in upper case?

I won't lie. I would buy this as a dedicated handheld for Metal Slug, SamSho, and KOF94 on the road. If I can add my own roms... legally? The price is justified.

I said this at the time the first announcement was made. No Neo Turf, No Sale!.

Top Players Golf is good but Neo Turf Masters is the better golf game.

Hopefully it'll have a TV-out option. I also hope the homebrew guys jump on this; it would make a great emulation box for all sorts of old games. The 500-quid pricetag is a little scary, though; hopefull it isn't true.

When GB first said it I though "huh, this is weird". My feelings are unchanged.

I was interested, even at an inflated price, but £500 is fucking RIDICULOUS! There's a line where I'm no longer willing to throw money down the drain for games and that price crosses that line. Several times.

@TyCobb: Nah, the SEGA Nomad had even that thing beat. I loved having all my Sega games on the go but that thing took like 16 batteries.

Neo Turf Masters, which isn't on the list...

There will also be an SD card slot on the device, presumably for the sake of adding additional games down the road, or maybe just so you can load photos onto it or something.

The Mega Drive one Blaze released previously also had a SD card slot which was basically for Roms. The manual described it as being for 'Internet Games Download Feature'.

It's £500. That's a little less than $800 at current exchange rates. I seriously doubt it'll be that expensive when (or if) it sees retail release in the US, but I'd be surprised if it was anywhere near what the Vita and 3DS cost. Probably much more. Like $350 at least.

I'm contemplating picking one up, especially for the same reasons you've already stated. Whether or not I get one probably depends on my financial situation at the time of its release, but as a fan of the Neo-Geo in general, I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of these things.
