Some people just like the universe. I wouldn't mind another Metal Gear even if you don't play Snake but you get Otacon and and Col. Campbell, Naomi etc. Thats the whole joy of becoming invested in a series.

I don't think I like Metal Gear so much as I like the bugfuck manner in which Kojima does anything. But I realize that without the words Metal Gear on the box I would probably never get another game from him. Considering it's basically the Cyberpunk Rennaissance now, it seems like the perfect time for Snatcher. There's two tropes that are huge in development now; Cyberpunk and Open World Zombie Survival. There are like a half dozen of both in development or recently released.

I'd love a modern day Snatcher game.

Another Big Boss game? Gray Fox game? They could literally do a dozen new and interesting MGS game because the timeline is the series is so broad they could easily do interesting prequels/sequels, stand alone missions etc.

I'd play a game about The Boss. Though I'd love to hear David Hayter's voice again...

I remember reading somewhere that Kojima wanted to have a game with some kind of social experience and to have an open world environment. If it is a Metal Gear game, I'd predict it somewhere to be either during MGS2 timeline where Snake is in Philanthropy and the organization is taking down Metal Gears and shit, or before MGS4. Either way, I'd rather have ZOE3 on Fox Engine.

No duh, it'll be a KojiPro IDOLM@STER game.

Lets hope they go back and skip the auto-camo suit for the older, Snake Eater kind of stuff.

MGS4 doesn't quite hold up as well as I thought it would.

I'm excited for MGS5, but I'd still love to see Kojima go wild with a game about this kid in the forest with his dog.

I hope the next games will be a Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 Remakes

Peace Walker was really good, hopefully they build on the systems and gameplay in that and MGS4 for this game, if it is MGS.

All that money in R&D to build some new engine instead of just purchasing the rights to a premade engine to work on the game sooner.

It's going to be MGS5 set in the 70s around the time of Les Enfants Terribles.

I'm pretty sure Kojima's mentioned that his next game is called Project Ogre because it has an *actual* ogre in it so I have my doubts regarding it's MetalGear-ness

Is engine a next gen thing, or is he seriously planning on releasing a current gen engine seven years in? I seriously hope this is his PS4 plan.

So, this one will be his last Metal Gear game though, right? -______-

I know the burning question is: Does this game model it's trees from the ground up as well, or does it utilize SpeedTree?

I'm always up for another Metal Gear game. I wonder if we will get Solid Snake or Big Boss this time around.

I am very curious to see this engine in action more.

Looking forward to just what the Fox Engine is truly capable of when it is in action. Hopefully it can deliver the same kind of awesome quality that the newest Unreal Engine promises to deliver in the near future.

Knowing Kojima, I can say that I look forward to a new Metal Gear Solid project to be announced for the next-gen systems running on the Fox Engine.

Will the new Fox engine help save Konami from itself? Will Japan build a capable competitor to the Unreal engine? Is all of this a ploy to get David Hayter back into the audio booth?

 If this means a Metal Gear-Onimusha crossover, then color me intrigued.

Even though its probably another MGS game, I would really love to see Kojima's craziness without the MGS back story to tie it too. Oh who am I kidding I hope its a new ZoE game

Engine schmengine...I just want a game, and not an interactive, nonsensical movie. MGS4 had about a hour worth of actual gaming, and 7 hours of cutscenes. Make a game, already.

I don't want to see another game with old snake, he looks so god damn stupid and bears no resemblance to the other snakes.

I thought he was borrowing from Escape From New York, which had a protagonist with an eye patch named Snake Plissken. Though I suppose he may have had a few different sources of inspiration.

The design of the Metal Gear Solid Snake we all know and love and the specific art created for the cover of the original Metal Gear 2d game aren't related. Original snake was just a 2D sprite after all and like all 2d era games box art was always the highly imaginative "idea" of what the games elements looked like for good or worse.

This is next gen.

I hope we get some back story, maybe some more of Big Boss or another Solid Snake mission on that was supper off the books.
