Insomniac Games Revealing Its Multiplatform Game Next Week

I love Insomniac! I miss their games, silly 360...

It's about time.

I just hope they include the PC in the multipart.

Yeah I like them too, but feel Microsoft is not playing it's part as PS3 gets way more exclusives. I was a bit disappointed that they let go of the Mass Effect licence to be honest. Hey, I own a PS3 but just like the idea that I paid $500 for an Xbox for some privileges.

I fell out with Insomniac after they left Spyro to Vivendi. Ratchet and Clank never stuck with me and the Resistance games aren't very good. Hopefully they have a brighter future with multi platform development.

that might actually be cool. i want to see developers make something the fans would never expect, make something completely out of their comfort zone.

The Resistance 2 campaign is really good, online never really pulled me in due to the voice chat issues. Looking forward to a full Resistance 3 co-op campaign to fill the huge void of disappointment that Killzone 3 left.

I never played Resistance but that was because it always looked a little boring or off to me. I was never a fan of Ratchet and Clank either I was always more of a Jak and Daxter guy. I hope they have something cool to show.

Resistance is not a good series, hopefully this marks the end of it.

Ratchet & Clank has been completely done to death, but the action-platformer style is still great and something the PS3 and 360 are both really lacking, so I'm hoping they come up with something similar to that, but a little more fresh.

But I'm guessing they'll go with something a bit more mature and "gritty" though. Cover based third person shooter with bald space marines anyone?

I seriously hope they are still using the engine from Resistance and Ratchet and Clank Future, because most 3rd party developers tend to have a UE3 looking engine that looks all the same blurry and normal map mess.

They should do something simular to ratchet and clank those games are quality

guys, it cant be Resistance or Ratchet and Clank. while insomniac came up with the ideas and made the games those are Sony owned IPs so they will never be multiplat

@ptys: except they dont, b/c as long as console manufacturers own development studios (and IPs), there will always be console exclusives

Resistance isn't that great in my opinion. What you should be excited for is Ratchet and Clank, those games are brilliant.

Based on that picture it looks like a first or third person shooter with a The Mist/Monsters vibe.

Calling it now. Insomniac will be the studio to make RTS work on console.

An employee of Insomniac Games was watching Destructoid's Justin.tv channel last night and I asked him/her if they were going to reveal their multiplatform game next week. Their response: We're currently focused on Resistance and Ratchet & Clank. Deceitful!

Wait, Insomniac could have been putting out multiplatform stuff?  I guess sony was giving them a lot of money to stay PS3 exclusive because that is amazing they chose to stay that long.  Also, why is Galactus in this game?

I am hoping to see some good stuff from them for the 360.

Also, Hitman: Absolution is being shown at E3 as well.

I'd like to see a strategy game where you take control of individual teamates at any given time.

its too bad the resistance series never took off.  i actually had fun with the second game but i wasnt blown away completely.

A Crack in Time was fantastic. Looking forward to what they do next.

Insomniac is a great developer and it would be nice to see a new platforming game, It would be great to see an evolution in that genre, this generation we have had very few of these games especially on 360(I only remember the launch title and i even forget its name, It was fun at the time but obviously not memorable), A hybrid of sorts would be great with some rpg elements as thats always nice lol, really i have no clue just blowing smoke.
 
The screenshot does not fill me with hope, Please not a shooter, Resistence 1 was ok i enjoyed it as a launch title i got with ps3 but for some reason i hated the 2nd game, I only played it a couple of weeks back and i had to stop playing after a couple of hours and psn was down so i could not try MP as it was a rental so i sent it back.
 
Ratchet games are fun, I wonder what this means for PS3, I know they are a big team so I assume they will still be doing PS3 games after R3, this generation i believed insomniac have spread themselfs a little thin trying to bring a title out each year, If they put a bigger team for longer on Resistence it probably would have been better.

Screw you all, I really enjoyed the Resistance games U_U Though this fan-fiction about Alan Wake vs Galactus would admittedly make R3 a whole heap better. Put in Evil Dead's Ash Williams and you're sorted.
