It's Hard To Argue With This No More Heroes 2 Trailer

Take a look at this Desperate Struggle.

No More Heroes wasn't a perfect game. It was rough around the edges. It was beautiful in some spots, an absolute mess in others. For me, that was part of its charm. The game's shortcomings almost seemed deliberate.

Of course, for a lot of people, all of that stuff was completely infuriating and made the game pretty much unplayable. But there's a new trailer out for the upcoming sequel, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. So it's time to ask yourself: Are you willing to give Suda's weird world of fake lightsabers and assassins another chance?

I'd argue that the trailer makes a pretty compelling argument in favor of playing the final product when it's finally released.

Where's the argument, you ask? Well, featuring a real human dressed up like a wrestler makes a pretty firm case. The guy that throws his woman at Travis Touchdown like they were patio furniture certainly has a thing or two to say, as well. And I can't immediately think of another game that features the word "preggers." All in all, the whole thing just looks weird in a way that I can't help but get behind.

Ubisoft is expected to announce plans to publish NMH2 stateside at E3 next week.

think about how he pumps up the sword lol

Finally, at least one of the many great pre-E3 Wii game announcements shows up here. Still, I must say I can't think of any flaws that rendered the original "unplayable" for anyone though. Perhaps quite a bit less than stellar, but calling it unplayable is quite a far fetched statement, that's for sure. And yes, you're right, most of the "flaws" were very intentional but I suppose that's not the real point here. Also, why not pair some of the new information with this post, like the rank 51 bit and other good stuff that are sure to hype real Suda51 fans?

Oh how I do love cleavage.

Posted by Riicochet

not sure, the whole having to do side jobs thing ruined the whole game for me.

none of that and this is a purchase

The game looks entirely awesome, it seems just as in love with being a videogame as the first game is.

I am glad you also realize that what the masses may consider flaws, are in fact fully intentional. Nobody in the industry would even consider attempting to do some of the things Suda did with the original, lol. Those that have played the original game fully, will no what I am talking about.

It epitomizes the spirit of punk so well, it's raw and gritty an does not give **** about being so. It laughs in the face of games which are in stark contrast to it.

He throws two soul sisters, as if they are paper - The character you mention is called Nathan Copeland I believe, he has a removable afro by the looks of things, lol. (seen character art with him wearing one) He also has as ghetto blaster which transforms into a arsenal of weaponry, some of that is seen in the trailer.

It looks way better all round on the evidence of this. The frame rate will be firmer everywhere, and the over world environment will be a lot stronger too. Grasshopper have said  Santa Destroy is more interesting and a lot larger than before. Suda has also promised  that the combat will be even more fun and varied, including the dual wielding and a host of new wrestling moves for Travis.

I bet Kevin Van Ord is happy, I know he loves the game as much as I do.

"Preggers" is a very English term..

My most anticipated E3 game, cannot wait :)

The original I <3

This game would simply not work on any other platform, it was designed by Suda specifically for Wii.

Wii Remote controls are essential to the gameplay hook.

I see Travis is channeling his inner Sith...

Also, I too laughed hard at the abrupt ending.

Damn, want a PS3 for inFamous and a Wii for this...

If anyone in Europe is wondering about the content and cuts, Grasshopper have already stated that two versions will be available in Europe - "Mild"  & "Extreme"

Perfect.  This game seems to be going in exactly the direction I would want a No More Heroes sequel to go.

heh.  I love the grindhouse-ness of the trailer :)

Travis Touchdown has taken some notes from Zangief, it seems. Crazy-ass trailer, though. It definitely looks mad.

Great trailer.

Alot of people saw the whole open world town and jobs system boring (which it was) in the first game, but I think suda put it in to show the two lives that Travis had. One being the dull life of a nobody and the other as a bad ass assassain. Well I got that from the game anyway.

Was that a hint of co-op near the end?

Wow, looks brutal.

Can't wait, the first one was the best game on Wii

@Linkyshinks:  Thanks I WAS wondering :). I didn't notice to much while playing. Only after watching some of the US version on Youtube did I miss the blood showers and whatnot.

With that said I'm totally stoked for this one, the first one was crazy and enough fun to play that this will be an easy choice for me.

NMH was my second favorite game of last year, All i want is for NMH2 is the first game with all the rough parts polished up nicely

I loved the hell out of the first one. It's one of my top favorite Wii games. Even though I cannot beat Jeane for the life of me and I have no idea why.

This will be a day of purchase for me. It's Ballsy and Humorous, and clever. Something I wish MadWorld was at times.
Awesome trailer, duel lightsabers and lightsaber staff is awesome. It also looks like the combat seams smoother? or faster pace. Also, I hope there is more Wiimote phonecalls. Yea they were hard to hear but it was an awesome idea.

The last scene was epic. And this game looks pretty cool. Maybe this will give me a reason to dust off my Wii.

That has me pretty pumped and I loved the first one. Unfortunately, I sold my Wii 6 months ago :(

"Desperate Struggle"... why would they name it like it was the DS version??? Weird :)

Bitches as projectiles? Could work...

Well I'm down for another trip to Suda's garden of madness. The first one nearly drove me insane...ugh Bad Girl...bad memories....can't wait!

I enjoyed NMH but couldn't be bothered to finish it.  This looks pretty more of the same.  I'll probably give it a try because I like to support Mature titles on the Wii. But it's really not my bag.

Posted by Vorbis

Was disappointed with the first one after the gore was cut from the EU version. It may sound silly but cutting people open to have coins pour out just isn't the same.

Seems this one wont have that issue so will definitly pick it up.

Posted by Blind_Evil

My experience with NMH was a little weird, and it's happened a few times with Wii games.  I bought it when it came out in January, but didn't get around to really playing it until May.  Once I did, I played it for something like 18 hours in two days and beat it.

I'm not going to say it was a terribly well designed game (perhaps on purpose), but it was an amazing experience.  It's one of those games I think you need to have gone through to fully be a part of the conversation in video game land.

finally a reason to turn back on my wii
I have not touched it since the last no more heroes

I am so flippan excited for this game.

The first No More Heroes is probably my favorite Wii game.

Posted by Dauragon

Oh god I'm so in. SO IN.

Posted by MasterSwanny

First one was fun, not good enough for me to play to the end though. Hopefully this one mixes it up a little bit more to keep it engaging.

Posted by Noodles

I almost wish I hadn't sold my Wii; No More Heroes was the only game I truly enjoyed on the system.

Posted by Wright

pretty great trailer, with a nice ending.

Posted by okuzy

pretty awesome trailer. never played the first one. LOL @ the ending

NMH is one of my Wii favs, so I won't miss this one. It seems totally rad, and Suda is kewl as heck!

Posted by Darro

NMH is one of the best Wii games released.  Looking at this trailer only confirms that it will be the same old craziness we've come to expect.

Posted by Dalai

I'm up for another round of No More Heroes.  Bring it on!
