Just Add Water Creating Multiple Oddworld Titles
by Brad Nicholson on
The Gravity Crash developer is set to bring Oddworld back.
As for specifics, JAW isn't willing to divulge anything at this time. The announcement on its website does mention, however, that more information will come over the next "few week and months" about these games that will star "your favorite Oddworld characters." So, there's that at least.
== TEASER ==Lorne Lanning has insisted an announcement revolving around Oddworld would be coming for some time, which helped fuel rather persistent rumors that Abe and the bunch would get another shot in this generation. Oddworld hasn't seen a new game since 2005 when the Xbox-exclusive Stranger's Wrath, a first-person shooter spin-off, was released.
“It’s almost symbiotic in that when something moves forward on any of the projects we just start chatting about new items, or what if we do this," JAW's managing director Steward Gilray said in a statement. "We’re all extremely excited to breathe life into the Oddworld universe and indeed to let it breathe life into us.”
