Some of us actually enjoy pretending to run our favorite baseball/football teams, as well as playing everything else.

So you're as excited about Madden as I am to here you thoughts on Madden.
You don't like sports games? Fine. We get it. Personally I can't stand FPSs but I don't assume everyone that does has the mental capacity of the Missing Link - not my fault your shit at the game.

I can see the lack of interest in sports, but I hope the negative energy is focused mostly at Madden and not football in general. Madden itself would actually be worth a buy from me this year, but only because I haven't bought a Madden game since 2003. I do own '05, only because my brother bought it  and lets it sit here since this is the only place he plays it. I also "owned" '08 for the PC for awhile, but... well, the lack of official co-op play since I believe '05 in the PC version has deterred me from playing it, since the *only * reason we play is for co-op.

Also, the lack of John Madden at the helm of game commentary is a huge mistake. Senile ole' Madden is what makes the commentary so awesome, even if it has been literally the same lines read and re-read with slight variations for the past 9 years.

Sums up my level of excitement for it pretty much, as well.

I wasn't really excited about Madden 09 but i rented it today, it's pretty good, not worth the 60$ price tag.

It's funny how people say madden is the same game every year, yet they don't even like football and have never even played the games. You guys sure do have some secret powers I don't know about.
