Remember the sappy, artsy "Mad World" advertisement that ran before Gears of War released a couple of years ago? That was a pretty ballsy marketing move, I thought, for a franchise yet to prove itself. (Then again, Gears of War was about the most surefire, ready-made hit you can possibly imagine.) In the same spirit, here's the Gears 2 edition.
A little less ballsy now that Gears is one of the biggest franchises going, but then, I like the idea that the game is going to sell gangbusters no matter what happens, allowing Microsoft to get a little nutty with the marketing.
