Mass Effect 2 PS3 For Sale On PSN January 18

Yeah the comic. I'm not quite sure what truly is the big deal, though. Unless all you got is a PS3. Then it's a very big deal.

I tried downloading it at midnight, then I woke up each hour from 7 to 10 and it didn't go on sale until ten

Getting it on disc, because physical media that are actually in my possession are awesome. And I'm going to buy it in a retail store, too. Man, at the age of 20 I'm already an antique.

About time. Also, an interesting way of shoehorning the backwards continuity back into the game.

Covering all their bases. I can see this coming out soon for GoD for Xbox.

More devs should do this, 60 bucks feels like a steal if I don't have to deal with the retail process.

Sony has the potential to do something genius with PS+. Make ME2 the featured game (with the one hour demo)

I think I'm gonna stick to the disc version. It's a hazzle downloading games that are that big, and I need my drive space.

anyone know if you can just buy the interactive comic without the game? I've beaten the game 6 times on xbox, but want to play the comic.

I've almost beat the on 360. Maybe I could get my roommate to buy the download version because I wouldn't mind playing that because i do love the way downloads play versus discs and you don't have to find the disc and put it in the system in order to play it.

Disc, because it would download until spring if I tried to do it with my shitty connection

I don't think I even wanna know how much hard drive space the digital version is gonna take up

I honestly just wish that they would have bundled everything on the stupid disc instead of making another "you are only getting into the party if you were a day one purchaser" flag that they are waving around.  I mean I would plan to buy it new, but I think I am just going to wait for the currently $20 dollar PC/360 version to drop to $10 again and then pick it up if I have to download stuff anyways.   
 
Would it have been all that hard to make everything in one neat little package... these stupid hooks like this just deter me from these packages or DLC add-ons.

On the one hand, if ME2 sells horribly on the PS3 (which I doubt) I won't be able to buy it used for cheap later on. On the other hand, if I wait and buy it later I will totally be able to finish my other games and enjoy ME2 and 3. Hard choice. 
 
Also, like the biggest loser of all nerds of the gaming universe, I have no wifi. It is my secret shame. That's the price of being a poor bachelor with his own home and a crappy car.

ME2 seems awesome, but I'm not willing to spend the full price tag on a year old game with the next one less than a year away!

Definitely disc, like a few others, call me old-fashioned but I like having a physical copy of a game... maybe Im just getting old? Who cares, been anticipating this for a little while now.

Disk, because the price will drop quicker.  I'm not paying $60 for a year old game that I have already played.

I already played through this like 4 times already... but a digital release on PSN will be hard to avoid.

There is so much to this game. I've played it six times and yet I just spent hours on youtube seeing videos of conversations I never had and things I never saw. It's crazy how they put so much into the game that only a handful of people will ever see/hear.

I'll be doing the downloadable version. I prefer that way because then I'll play the game more (worked for Burnout).

Does anyone know if Mass effect 2 will be available on PSN in Europe?

It's a great alternative for people who dread human interaction, shipping, or selling games after finishing them.

I'm going to get the disc version because I don't have that much space on my ps3 and if I kept getting games, especially really big ones like this, I would run my limit and have to figure out what to do. Although now that I think about it, I should just buy a laptop hard drive and just put it in. 
 
But whatever, I'll get the disc version. I think the disc itself has all of the dlc the game is coming with so I don't have to keep anything on the system, hopefully that is true. Also, I believe the disc version has the interactive comic too I believe, surely its important enough to not make it exclusive to the PSN version.

I'm still into plastic and cardboard and metal when it comes to "full sized" games. I'm okay with dropping $5-15 on DLC or small games, but Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo have done nothing to prove that my purchases will be available and supported on future hardware. They've done the opposite so far actually. 
 
Only Steam and Apple's App Stores have shown their content has longevity.

If I have the money I am definitely going to but Mass Effect 2 again. I already beat it twice on 360 and almost picked up a limited edition copy for PC today. I will probably get a boxed copy when I do get it since the PS3 downloads tend to run really slow for me.

If I were to buy it a third time, I'd buy the digital one so I can be even more lazy about discs.
