Mass Effect 3 Delayed into Early 2012

Not necessarily true. It could happen, but it's a little too early to speculate as to the cause of the delay. If it is because of multiplayer, it better be the most kick ass awesome multiplayer ever created because this trilogy never needed it in the past to be great and still dosen't.

If this is to make the single player better, then I welcome this delay (and many more) with open arms.

If it gives them time to refine things and make it even more amazing than 2, then I'm all for it. They really need to get more broad in the navigation and allow you to see more civilization and things you've never seen...and I don't want to see just recycled stuff from the second game either.

Well that's a bit sad, but on the plus side, it gives them more time to make it better. After the luke-warm reception of DAII (which was well deserved), BioWare have hopefully decided not to take any risks with ME3. Dragon Age II was a good game, but still a disappointment. Shorter, smaller, and far more repetitive than the first Dragon Age. That's what you get with a development cycle of less than a full year - re-used environments and fetch-quests! Now that they are putting some more months in ME3, hopefully we can avoid the same fate that was awarded to DAII.

Thank the gods for good developers.

They should take that time to really polish the game up. They are going to have to work hard to top ME2.

I'm okay with this. The "annualization" of a franchise a la Call of Duty is never a good thing - I'd rather see them take some time to improve the game. Bioware has a good reputation for listening to its player base, even if the wisdom of their recent decisions leaves something to be desired...

I was a little surprised when they announced the date that was not even 2 years after the last game.

Q1 release worked pretty damn well last time.
Now if this comes out the same time as SWTOR I'm going to be a busy boy.

I always rpefer this kind of announcement over the "we brought back the release date EARLIER" and end up with a rushed out project. (Sonic 2006, Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands, etc..)

Mayb they made it a lil too DA2 and decided to fix it.. hahaha jk  Pretty sure most of the people who made that pile of shit werent workin on Mass Effect..

Because some of us would rather stab ourselves in the eyes with forks than plan an online multiplayer game.  I'll take a proper story and character development over being shot at by a 12 year old that likes using swear words, thank you very much. "

If we learned anything from DA2 it should be: BioWare needs to take their time developing games. Don't rush that shit!

This is my least favourite delay on The Citadel.

It's truly is a shame that we won't get to gorge on ME3 yet but considering the fact that they're really going the extra mile to polish the game and truly make it the best in the series I can overlook the fact that it isn't coming out this year. 

Oh well I'll just play more Skyrim and Dark Souls until it's released, not a problem at all.

It sucks, but I'm not really bothered by it.  Mass Effect 2 was pushed back into the early month of the next year and look how it turned out.

To me, I think this is a good decision. Normally delays suck, but this is an exception. I want the Mass Effect 3 experience to be as perfect as possible, so if that means a few months more to wait, then so be it. Also, with the amount of games coming out this year, I'm glad 2012 has its fair share of big blockbuster games. Work hard Bioware!

I knew that this would be delayed.  I am glad they are taking extra time to ensure that ME 3 is as great as it can be.  This not only gives me more time to play some of the games I missed from last year, but some of the awesome releases planned for 2011; before I play through ME 3 several times.

More time for Skyrim AND more time for BioWare to spend time and really polish this off.

That's a relief, now I have time to play Skyrim.
Don't know how I'm going to afford the xmas game onslaught, I'll buy Skyrim then buy the other games on a monthly basis. My studies are gonna suffer =(

I'm cool with this, 2 years between games is fine with me.
