Metroid Prime Wii Collection Hits This August

Nice. I have now been convinced to buy a Wii (after selling mine on eBay (for a profit, mind you) many months ago).

Day 1 purchase. I have never played a metroid game (yea I know I suck) but I will make sure I am well versed by the end of this.

Somebody was asking about GC game sizes....they are all roughly 1.3 gigs.

why can't they do Killer 7?  Of all the Gamecube games other than RE4, it would be perfect for this sort of treatment

50 bucks seems decent for 3 games but the ability to play with motion controls on the original two doesn't appeal to me owning all three games already.  For new comers definate bargain, but other than that not worth it.

I only own the first game; I have played the second and like it.

I'll be getting this. I never made it through the first Prime due to the annoying control scheme, and haven't tried any others.

This might have been a reason for me to keep my wii sadly it came out how long after i sold it? as for that i all ready own Mp1 and 2 on gamecube and i owned the wii version why would i purchase them all over again for what is essentially wii controls i doubt they could offer any thing unlockable ondisc that i haven't all ready played, seen, or watched.

This is actually a really good deal. Maybe I will actually buy it.

Though I did not play it, I remember hearing a lot of complaints about the extended load times in Corruption.  I could be mistaken, but I recall reading somewhere that the original two games were able to minimize that problem by virtue of the smaller optical discs of the GameCube.  I hope the they're able to maintain the impressive (and almost altogether hidden) room-to-room load times that made Metroid Prime such a technical achievement during the last generation.

When I saw the title of this story I figured we'd be looking at your typical extortionate price for a video game ($100 EASILY) but major props to Nintendo for pricing this right into the "must-buy" list of every Wii owner!

Okay, one: if you haven't played these games, you're a damn fool. But now you can rectify that terrible mistake! This package is f'n amazing. Widescreen Metroid Prime, the ultimate in control schemes for that game, and at a price I didn't think was possible. I was looking to drop 60 on Prime and Echoes by themselves, but all THREE for that price? Insanity! Madness! Awesomeness!

Cool I guess.  Even though I'm a big Nintendo fan, I couldn't get into the Prime games for some reason.

Boxset is a fan creation from long before this was announced. The official won't be so cool... And all games are on one disc (which is cool).

This sounds like an amazing deal though im hoping they also offer the ability to play Prime 1 and 2 with "original" controls. Since I played so many hours of prime 1 it would feel wierd to play it any other way, though im sure eventually id want to swap over to the new controls it would be nice to have a direct 1:1 contrast on how they are better.

I personally think Metroid Prime 3 is worth $50 on it's own still, so this deal is just absolutely INCREDIBLE!
