Also, Kid Nicky Minaj is the greatest piece of entertainment in history. It's everything Minecraft and Trials Evolution wish they could be.

So people have played Minecraft 360 online for about 5.2 hours on average? Is that right?

Great news. Hopefully this means there is a lot of incentive to catch up to the PC version with features as there is obviously a good userbase on the 360.

I'm actually considering getting the 360 version as well to play local splitscreen multiplayer with friends while chuckin' back a few beers.

Don't know how so many people can have been unaware of Minecraft's existence until Microsoft put ad blocks on the dashboard, but I guess that's what happened here.

So, on average, everyone who bought Minecraft has only played it for a bit over five hours? That doesn't sound like Minecraft to me.

I'd love to see a breakdown of the number of people who gave up after an hour and people who play 10-hour sessions.

It is cool but i really hope they upgrade it to the modern version eventually.

I love minecraft but knowing I have the adventure update on PC just keeps me from getting into this, as the adventure update adds SO much. I originally thought that was the point of the 1.0 update too so they could release a "full version" of the game on stuff and it would not be in beta forever? I think that is what irks me the wrong way, this is basically the beta version of Minecraft.

Still like it though and I would prefer to play minecraft witha controller and on my xbox, but it needs to at least get the adventure update if I am going to spend my time.

Much as I know it's a better experience on mac or PC it's such a great lazy on-couch low commitment game! I was skeptical about why they would put it on 360 but it surprisingly fits

Multiplayer hours, I reckon most play it in single player. They can't track single player times though (hopefully).

EDIT: Online hours, not multiplayer specifically.

That's an interesting opinion. It sounds like people are just butt hurt because the game they prefer was outsold by a game they don't like or understand. :-)

Edit: Also what would be wrong with digital legos? That sounds awesome! :-D

Minecraft on PC has resulted in people making scale models of the Enterprise and the Kremlin. It's pure creation. Trials creation tools are in the game for the sole reason of creating tracks. Minecraft has creative mode for the sole reason of creating whatever the hell you want. Why the fuck do you idiots always feel the need to put down other games over the most trivial of things? Minecraft and Trials are both fucking incredible games. Calm down, this news doesn't make Trials any less fun. Jesus Christ, sometimes I wonder what the hell goes through peoples heads.

If I can do math, which I just might not be able to do, that's $20 million. Crazy numbers.

I also like that nearly half of game hours have been spent in multiplayer. Especially when you consider someone has to be on your friends list to get into their game.

@RockmanBionics: The idea of playing on a TV with splitcreen is enticing. The massive amount of stuff cut from the pc version is too much to bear, though. The idea of mining around and suddenly hitting an invisible wall is insane. That's one of the coolest parts of minecraft, it goes on forever. I understand having only 512MB of RAM (considering that has to be split between graphics, code, and the OS you end up with only around 170 MBs for graphics and game logic each (the rest for the OS)) is a tough thing to work with, but isn't there a way to stream it from the hard drive or something? Me and my sister just played it on our laptops while I ran the server on my desktop.

Who cares if its not as superior as pc version, its still just a fun building blocks game. Im sure they will update it, that was the appeal of the pc version the trickle of new stuff appearing in the game.

Even I bought this for my 360. I built a man cave and started digging down and down and down until I came across a cavern and promptly fell into it and got killed by monsters in the pitch black darkness.

I'm more comfortable on my couch with a controller.

I like the ease of playing co-op with friends on Live and splitscreen with my fiance.

I don't need infinitely large worlds to have fun, which in turn means I don't have to worry about the FPS taking insane dips and having my computer flatline.

All of these reasons and more make the 360 version my preferred version of Minecraft, why is it so difficult for people to understand this shit? Either way the dudes who made the game are getting rewarded with fat stacks, so why the fuck does it matter which version someone buys? And with so much success I don't know that they can get away with never updating this game. It's gotta happen now.

I put like 14 hours into the game over the weekend, all split screen with my roommate (who really got into it). I may have already burned myself out on it, but I think at least finally understand the appeal. It may even get me to go play Terraria again.
