Month-Long PSN Exclusives Promotion Starts Tomorrow

So, now that they're finally available...  Impressions?  Did Sony do their job well?  Do they play like they did on the PS2?

Grim Grimoire is big news. The game looked amazing on my BC PS3, and I expect the same with the DD version.

Now I finally get to play Grim Grimoire; I've heard good things but never got a chance to play it. Also, maybe as a digital product Odin Sphere won't run like straight garbage a bunch of the time.

Ring of Red is a "long requested classic"? Really now?

There's a new Pixeljunk game coming and I haven't heard anything about it?

Eufloria is a hot game, and i'm glad it will be getting more attention now.

Odin Sphere and Muramasa are also coming to Xbla

One can only hope that they've upgraded the PS3 "upscaling" for PS2 games.  In the past, I've found that games look better on a PS2 connected to a CRT using component cables, than a PS3 to HDTV via HDMI.  The upscaling the PS3 does isn't quite what it could be.  (60GB model)
 
Still, this is great news for those who missed out on some of these gems.  I plan on giving at least one or two of these a shot, providing they release under favorable circumstances.  (Bug free, etc...)  I've heard that the PAL version of Odin Sphere runs more smoothly.  I wonder if they used it or the NTSC release?

does God Hand have an Easy mode?  I just want to play the game and enjoy its ridiculousness. There was a chihuahua boss fight if I remember corretly.  and Odin Sphere. On principal I should buy this game again.

I'd grab God Hand if I hadn't just bought another PS2 copy a couple months ago (my original was scratched but playable, some music tracks wouldn't play though so I wanted a pristine one).

Maximo and God Hand are great. Heard a lot of good things about Odin Sphere, and Ring of Red and Grim Grimoire sound crazy enough to try out. If Sony can roll out games like this every month, great!

Might have to buy at least Odin Sphere again. I never beat it because of how hard it was, but damn that game was crazy fun and well-drawn.

It'd be nice to have some not-so-hard-to-find PS2 games available since Sony raped the PS3 of its backwards compatibility. Remember how much "better" it was on PS3 back in '05 and '06 when that Xbox thing had emulation but the PS3 had real hardware backwards compatibility? Like Bob Dylan would say...things have changed.

I'll take emulation. How about that Half-Life co-op game, or maybe those PSP GTA stories ports please. Sony really needs to step it up on the BC department.

Maybe I will finally get around to finishing God Hand now. Speaking of which, why is Gene the only Clover character not in MvC3? Out of all their characters he is easily the best fit for a fighting game crossover.

I don't understand promotions like this one and Summer of Arcade.  If these games were launching at a reduced price or something, then I would consider it an event, but as it is, it's just a time period in which a group of games is going to come out, and Sony or Microsoft is going to put more money behind marketing it.  I don't see why the consumer should be excited about this stuff.

Rochard is very good. It's a sorta puzzle/physics combat sidescroller. One of the best $10 I've ever spent.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that got excited about a rerelease of Maximo.

I loved the shit out of Maximo. I might finally try out God Hand as well.

We still play PS2 games on our launch PS3. It would be nice to be able to get some way of using the games that you already own on the slims.

I already own all those ps2 games on disc, but it's cool they're making them available to more people. I know they're all pretty obscure, but I'm especially surprised by the inclusion of GrimGrimoire, I feel like no one even knows that game exists. The whole 2D RTS + Harry Potter x Groundhog Day story made for one of the most unique games I've ever played.
 
Looking forward to RocketBirds, the infamous 2 addon, and Sidescroller. Also, if you have not given Rochard a look, I highly recommend it (there's a demo, I believe). 10 bucks, and I enjoyed the hell out of it.

My PS2 collection is disappearing more and more because of PS2 remakes and re-releases. I <3 you PS2, but less cases or shinier graphics... well, love can be fickle.

God Hand?! Ghosts to Glory?! "Yes" in all caps goes here. That's awesome, though. Odin Sphere is also a terrific addition, but I already own it. Also very excited for the stuff I don't know I'll like yet!

Please, Sony! Release Odin Sphere and GrimGrimoire in Europe, too. :C Chances are pretty slim, though. After all, we never got Symphony of the Night...

Does anyone know how much the PS2 games are gonna cost? I never played God Hand and have really wanted to. If the price is right...that may be a nice purchase for me.

Rochard is already available. It was released last week. It's quite fun, I recommend picking it up.

Nice. I was wondering to myself when the hell Festival of Blood was going to come out. Not a huge fan of Vampires, but I'll tak any excuse to play some more inFAMOUS.
