New Assassin's Creed Campaign DLC Slated For This March

In "The Da Vinci Disappearance" you'll be tasked with... what else? Finding Da Vinci!

A good-sized DLC pack for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood has been announced for the console versions of the follow-up’s follow-up. Slated to hit this March, “The Da Vinci Disappearance,” as its being called, adds some more campaign content and a bunch of new stuff for Brotherhood's online component.

The campaign portion of the DLC is something of a mission that’ll have Ezio attempting to find two paintings in order to discover the whereabouts of Da Vinci, who has been artist-napped by “an underground cult” called the Hermeticists. On his travels, Ubisoft is promising that he'll discover two new locations as well as two fresh, though unspecified, “gameplay features" (whatever that means). I should note that this takes place after the game's conclusion, so it'll be interesting to see how Ubisoft works this into the overall storyline.

 == TEASER ==As for the multiplayer additions, here’s a handy bullet-point list:

  • One new map called “Alhambra” -- described as a “lush environment set in Spain’s Albaicin of Granada.” Will have multi-leveled areas.
  • Four additional characters -- Dama Rossa, the Knight, the Marquis, and the Pariah
  • Two new modes -- Escort and Assassinate. Escort is your standard VIP affair; both teams are tasked with killing one special player while protecting their own. Assassinate is a DM mode for six-to-eight players.

If you couldn’t tell, there’s no hard date on this content, but we do have a price. Ubisoft has confirmed that it’ll cost 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live Marketplace, which means the PSN version should also be priced at 10 bucks or so.
