New Weapon in Geometry Wars Arms Race

A number of you have sent me private messages the last couple of weeks wanting to compare scores in Geometry Wars 2. Unfortunately, the stupid cap on number of friends in the Xbox Live friends list means we can't just sync up in-game and easily see how we stack up against each other.

So this past week, developer Bizarre integrated GW2 scoring into their website, and the gamerscore wunderkinds over at MyGamerCard were quick to swoop down and turn that data into an easily embedded high-score graphic. Proving for the umpteenth time that I'm not afraid to embarrass myself on the Internet, here's mine:



I tested this with my Giant Bomb profile, and it embeds nicely in your "About Me" box (use the Edit HTML Code button in the editor to drop it in). Head over to MyGamerCard and punch in your own gamertag to grab your score module, and then start feeling really bad about how far behind you've fallen. If you'll excuse me, I need to go work on my King score. At least it's higher than Ryan's.

Those scores make me look horrible at geo wars.

I just got the original GW two days ago and I can't even get 50k... then I decided to download the demo for GW2 and I got 440k on my first run through. Is GW2 easier? I also saw in the GB that the game has a different multiplier system... so I guess that's it.

Orange, yeah the multiplier in GW2 gets up a lot higher then 1, so the scores get a lot higher.

Very cool, I just saw this on Jeff's profile and was wondering where he got it. Nice way to compare scores without having to go through hundreds of thousands of names.

fuck geo wars... when is capcom gonna put up online leaderboard support for bionic commando: rearmed? now there's a game I can brag about!

That's really cool. unfortuantly for me, none of my friends on Live have geometry wars or a Giant Bomb account, so I can't make use of it.
