I was wondering when this new dashboard update was finally gonna come out.

I'm really looking forward to the New Xbox Experience and Star Ocean: The Last Hope. It's gonna be a long month for me with NXE. :|

Posted by MonkeysDad

Not to bothered about NXE from a graphical standpoint, just want to be able to put Gears 2 straight onto the hard drive. First game thrashed my DVD drive.

Does Japan really care about Halo?

Posted by Mittt

Halo3: Recon? lol...Priceless....

Posted by maskedaprentice

Wait halo comes out fall 09? When I saw the trailer I was like oh wow they're doing that quick....wait a second...09? The hell are they doing?

Posted by jhosaphat

i can haz recon!

Posted by Tarsier

What a great few months we have here for games!

So...I'm confused...Is the Halo 3: Recon the squad based shooter?

I know Jeff said that it is the Halo 3 expansion.....but why the hell would you name something "Recon"  that is an expansion of an existing game and then come up with a new IP that is tactical in nature and give it another name?

Just seems a really dumb title.

New R-Type!!

Since playing R-Type Zero I've been really hoping for a 360/PS3 version. Very pleased :)

Posted by Joshy

feels like not many mega crazy anouncements really, tekken 6 is pretty huge but i'm not big on fighting games.

Posted by Aaox

I can haz reconz in Fall 09... that's a long time...

Like, a year, or something.

King of Fighters, you say? Sold.

Posted by Pseudo_Sidious

Was Ninety-Nine Nights really good enough to warrant a second game? I thought that game was kinda mediocre. Isn't a 2nd game just money down the drain?

yay another fighter!   -_-   .... Just give me the movies, which i normaly get after beating the game with a char.

Wow, I'm very surprised that that much decent information was released by Microsoft there. TGS hardly sounds the place where they would reveal the release date of NXE or Halo: Recon.

Ok, Ninety-Nine Nights 2? What?  As for Halo 3, unless that's a standalone game, Fall 2009 makes absolutely no sense.

NXE, Tekken six, Space invaders extreme, Halo 3 recon. Holy shit

Posted by Player1

Halo 3 recon... sounds intriguing.

Posted by AdventChild

I can't wait to give my avatar a skateboard and a backwards baseball cap. . .

Posted by dagas

So anyone else than I bought Ninety-Nine Nights? =P I guess it might have sold well in Japan. I've barely played it...

Posted by Callumrides

tekken 6 another playstation(console) exclusive gone

Posted by Aaron_G

Now that the dashboard has a date I can't wait!

Posted by ocdog45

nothing good found here.

Posted by Hexogen

Halo 3: Recon has my attention. It'll be pretty neat to not play as Master Chief for once.

Posted by RHCPfan24

Well, the NXE is farther off than I would have preferred, but whatever.  It looks cool so I can wait.

Posted by Nedemis

must suck to be a hater of the one console that ACTUALLY delivers a constant stream of great games ocdog45,  huh?

While I suppose they don't have too much incentive to release a whole lot of information at a Japanese Convention (or maybe they do, since it might drum up some interest), this seems to me like a pretty weak showing, at best.  This is coming from an American, so I can only imagine the yawns it generated in the land of the rising sun.

Ninety-Nine Nights 2...seriously?....really?....interesting

Posted by Seram

I was hoping the new update would be here before Gears 2, but it's alright. At least now it has a date.

OMG OMG metal sug, TEKKEN FREAKING TEKKEN and new HALO on 360 is it my birthday, YES YES IT IS!!!!!!

Posted by tresor

What are the chances the long Halo dev time means it might come to PS3?

Posted by TomA

FUCK YES HALO!!! i love Halo it's th best franchise ever released!!!I can't wait:)The rest of the stuff I don't care about at all,i think Tekken is dumb and i don't like XBLA games mostly.New dashboard sounds kinda dumb too,i remember readiong an article in EGM when the 360 first came out and they walked about how Microsoft had a large if it ain't broke don't fix it type of motto.Well obviously they left that motto in the dust cause we there's nothing wrong with the current dashboard.

Posted by TwoOneFive

tekken six looks like shit and this other stuff is well...eh.

who knows though, maybe halo wars will take off in south korea
Posted by heavymtlhead

YES! Space Invaders Extreme is yet another game I would have bought on a handheld but now I can play for points!

Once upon a time I was excited about press conferences from the Big 3.  Now, we just get updated about playing Barbie with avatars.  Where are the kick-ass games?  Where is the innovation?  Where are the jaw dropping moments where I say to myself, "I need that game in my life, and I need it right now!"  And no, Halo 3: Recon just was not it.

Posted by MannAlive

oh, Halo, so this is your "run the franchise into the ground" phase.

Halo's like a band that had a great album 20 years ago, but insists on playing all new stuff at their concerts.  it's a little sad to watch.

Tekken going multiplatform is a bit of a blow to Sony, however it is probably necessary if the game wants to compete with Street Fighter 4.
If Tekken insists on keeping the boxing kangaroo characters it frankly deserves to be thrashed to a bloody pulp by Ryu and co anyway.

Posted by keyhunter

I'm actually really excited about Ninety Nine Nights 2. I know everyone hated the first one, but I pretty much mastered that game. In a world with hundreds of excellent 360 games, I picked up a used copy of that stupid game and played it for like 16 days straight. I'd have the last 200 points in it if I didn't keep saving over my characters with other characters. I'm going to buy it for sure.
