Nintendo to Stream Big Wii U Event Tomorrow [UPDATED]

UPDATE: There will also be an event in Japan, which kicks off tonight. Nintendo will be streaming that, too. It beings at 12:00 a.m. (midnight) PST.

We’ll know more about the Wii U tomorrow, and that likely includes a release date and price. Alex will be attending the event in-person, but you’ll also be able to follow along at home via livestream.

Nintendo will be piping the event through its Facebook page, which you can keep tabs on over here. There’s not yet an active link, and I wouldn’t expect one to be available until sometime tomorrow.

The event starts at 10:00 a.m. EST. Crap, that means I need to wake up early.

• Wii U will not be available in the EU this year.
• Wii U will launch with a new Zelda game that is based on Zelda 2.

It could be free and I still wouldn't want one.

THey've renamed it the Big Wii U? Their naming conventions just keep getting worse.

I truly don't care about the Wii U. I won't buy one because it would only be used for first-party games, and Nintendo only has so much manpower to produce those. I played maybe 6 games on the Wii. If I received one as a gift, I'd take it and be happy.

I got Reggie in my left channel...... now I've got Reggie in both channels. HIGH TECH!

Cheap development costs, and a large Japanese install base = new home for JRPG's.

On second thought, the WII was in the same boat and we only got three decent games. Wake me up when the new Fire Emblem comes out.

i don't think i could be any less interested in the Wii U right now. hopefully that will change but i don't know about that

10 AM eastern? That's great for me but kind of sucks for everyone else not on the east coast.

Prediction: The Wii U will be the new Xbox 720 controller, Master Chief will be in the new Smash Bros. game. and new Mario, Zelda, Donkey kong, and Wario games are all coming out first quarter of next year.

Yeah at this point I have nothing but stupid ideas. I have lots of nostalgia for Nintendo but I don't know how they can pull this next generation off. Maybe they'll blow our minds but I just don't see it.

nintendo things always seem more akward than other console event things, casue they keep thinking kids are watching or soemthing.

Kinda insane how so many people (myself included) have just completely written this game off due to she sheer lack of power in it. I also wonder if the general public will look at their dust covered Wiis and think "Not this time".

Still don't get Nintendo bringing out their next console so early before the next Microsoft and Sony consoles are anywhere near, at least publicly, finalized. And, honestly, I just don't really care about it either. The Wii was such a complete and utter letdown for me that I just can not summon up anything positive about this. I just... I don't care, Nintendo, go away.

As for predictions, new Mario, Zelda, WiiU Sports Resort, and probably a new Super Smash Bros. All things that I also can't be assed to care about anymore.

We better hope those Virtual Console and Wiiware games are able to migrate over somehow. Hopefully Nintendo has the good sense to set the precedent going forward with all this DLC business.

are tthey going to say they have more than 2 games that would make me want to buy a wii this year and not wait like the fucking 3ds that had no games either.

Then again the crap n64 had no games so I guess that is asking to much.

oh and that That wii u box art and logo is horrible the white boxes looked good this does not. go back to the fucking SNES style of boxes nintendo those was the best looking boxes you ever had. Hell the fucking gamecube used the same concept as the SNES boxes and they looked good.
