Can you believe that I've never played a Resident Evil game? I've tried getting into the series with the recent remakes of the first ones... couldn't, too stiff. I've meant to play 4 and 5, never found the time.

My loss, I guess.

I don't actually think this belongs to the movie. The trailer and website get released at 10am PST for that, so that doesn't add up to the time that No Hope Left talks about. Also, it sounded like that stuff was originally going to happen yesterday, but Milla Jovovich made it sound like it was a last minute change. Maybe Capcom got them to bump up the date for tomorrow's big reveal? I still really think it's RE6. By the way, the trailer for Retribution leaked last night after Attack of the Show aired it. Looks...big. And has some total Tron Legacy going on up in that soundtrack.

If this site is in fact an ad campaign it's awful. At this stage it seems like a student project to which no one committed. I also wish they would use the term 'wtf' more, that would mostly improve it, mostly.

Hm. I'm definitely super curious to see what the next RE looks like. It'll have to be a pretty big departure from what they've done before if they want to keep people interested.

i got burned out on Resident Evil after 3, don't think i'd even look at another one unless it's an HD remake of 1 & 2

RE6 needs to be good. RE5 was just more of RE4's excellent reinvention - the series needs a reinvention again, I think. Also, RE6 is rumored to be developed by a western studio? That could end up really bad...even though games like Dead Rising 2 came out well and DmC is looking phenomenal.

So we all know the game is going to happen (duh). And now we know Capcom is gearing up to talk about it being a thing. So who cares! The only thing you're getting riled up and anxious about is the beginning of an expensive ad campaign. Anything you're going to see for the next few weeks (or months, or year!) will be a closely controlled teaser at best. I love the series to death but please guys, don't fall into the dumb marketing trap or think for a second anyone other than the ad company and marketing department is anything but ecstatic that people are talking about this a little early. Still, props to TheSixthAxis for doing some actual, ya know, journalism.

I hope Wesker's Samurai Edge low gun shot still OTG's.

i want this to be RE6, but i could hold out a few more years (next console cycle). RE6 and Devils Third are two games i'd like to see on next generation consoles.

They're also celebrating Resident Evil's 15th anniversary this Friday in Japan and livestreaming it to the world. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd show something there.

When I saw "No Hope Left" in the article's title, I thought this was going to be a follow-up on the THQ story.

Resident Evil is one of my favorite series and I was disappointed when they went with the Las Plagas monsters instead of zombies in 4 and 5 so I'm totally on board if they want to do a new Resident Evil with zombies.
