Okay, This R2-D2 Xbox 360 Is Cooler Than You'd Expect

@Sil3n7: There are some subtle C-3PO touches to the controller beyond the gold color. The bottom half has pinted graphics that resemble his abdomen with the exposed wires and black flexible surface. I think the d-pad is shiny silver to represent the one silver calf 3PO sometimes has. Not too spectacular, granted, but there's a little bit more than a gold paint job. Even though trademark issues probably forbid it, it'd be cool if the center button glowed yellow instead of green, like 3PO's eyes.

I'm planning on getting this, mostly because i don't own an xbox and i'm tired on playing Bastion on my friends xbox and because if i can own something that makes R2D2 sounds my life is complete.

There aren't enough metallic chrome-finish controllers around. I would definitely buy that controller if it retailed separately.

This. I love the R2-D2 console. I could take or leave the C3PO controller.

Some. The 360 is pretty low on exclusives, unfortunately.

Alan Wake, Halo/Gears of War if you're into that, Earth Defense Force 2017, Forza, Project Gotham Racing... don't know anything else off the top of my head.

That controller looks badass...I wish they were just selling that separately.

Oh shit, the controller really pulls it together. Just looking at the box, I wouldn't have thought R2D2 immediately. But with both in frame, it becomes obvious.

Sometimes I ask myself if I'm weird for thinking Star Wars is stupid. It takes something like this to reassure me that I'm not crazy, but in fact everyone else is.

Is it bad that the thing that excites me the most is the fact that the xbox makes R2-D2 sounds?

I know its bad, but I love how these SE consoles come with custom audio for physical button interactions. Its little details like that which push these over the top for me. If I didn't already have a Slim (and replaced several old skool 360s...but thats another post) I'd totally snag this!!!! Dammit...

They've totally pulled one over on everyone, i think due to this console, it will create a massive increase in sales of the game which to be honest looks like a pile of shit . Also, wasn't C3PO the bigger one sporting a mid-rift "circle" which would of looked like a cool power button and use  R2 as the Controller. Plus the Artwork is Sloppy, all they've done is put some blue squares and rectangles on the damn thing. In my eyes this is a dick move to generate sales for a game that doesn't deserve the time of day, but because it's got the Star Wars Name on it people will buy into its charms, not me, the game looks shit, Kinect is shit, and i've had 7 Xbox's so Microsoft won't be getting any of my shit for some gimmick shit. Shit.

Eh...Gold controller looks like shit.  Very cool and novel collectors item, but also kinda stupid....Im conflicted on what to say apparently lol.  I want to hate it, but it wont let me, the force is strong with this one.....Id want to be able to argue with it threw the kinect. It needs to be surly when I tell it to do things, It should no longer be addressed as Xbox, but as R2 threw kinect. Either way, to those that get it, ENJOY!!!
