Great tribute though. It really is sad that they have closed down; Pandemic made some of my favorite games from the period of 2003-2006.

Office Space = awesome.

Sad to see them go especially with The Saboteur coming out in a month because I think that game might be a sleeper hit.

Maybe a video of some guys with copies of their last few games is in order.  I'm not happy when someone gets laid off, especially at this time of year, but the "quality" of the last several games they did was what got them here.  They reached a point where the properties they held were more valuable than the creative teams that made them, so that's all that EA wanted of them.
 
Aside from the original Mercs, the stuff they made was lackluster, much of which were variations of games from other devs.  Even Mercs was basically GTA: Korean DMZ.  The fact they literally stole wholesale the Battlefield concept for Battlefront - not even the originality to create a different enough name - was insane.  I still don't know how they didn't get sued by EA.  Look at their titles and see how basically every release was the same game with different art.
 
I think Mercs 2 was the biggest letdown from them.  They delayed that shit a year for "polishing", then it came out loaded with bugs and a distinct lack of polish.  What the fuck did they do in that year?  After that mess of a game I never bought a Pandemic product again.
 
 Ironically, Saboteur looks pretty good, even though it still has a Mercs feel to it.  I'll wait and see the reviews, but it's a WWII game from a dead developer, coming out days before Xmas.  Sounds like prime bargain bin material for those New Year's sales, even if it ends up being halfway decent.

The Saboteur is a shit game, no question.  I'm sure it's soon to be seen, poor sales, are one of the reasons for the firings.  
 
Seems about right.  Most of Pandemic's games are pure crap.  2 in 5 are worth playing.  
 
Still sucks.  Those few games, were damn good.  Hope they find something better to do with their time, other then making tributes to shitty movies.

WIth the death of Pandemic, does this make my Pandemic Studios condom from E3 2000 super valuable now?  It's 9 years old and has a staple through it, so it's probably still good to go right?
