Rocksteady Probably Not Developing Batman: Arkham World Next

I seriously cracked it! I remember this episode when I was a kid and it must've been based on a Batman comic arc: http://batman.wikia.com/wiki/Strange_Minds this is totally plausible on what Rocksteady is doing.

Arkham World will somehow only contain about 20 hours of content.

I took the Arkham World thing to be a joke about the next logical step the series could take (from Asylum to City, I guess it could be Country, but that rolls off the tongue even less so), and the mention of spoilers being a joke about... the Joker, and how everyone took the Joker's death information that came out before City's release as spoilers.

I hope they give it a break, because Assassin's Creed started doing yearly releases and the latest didn't turn out so good.

They really can't call it Arkham World. I'd just call it Batman: Arkham. Drop any other identifier.

I can't wait to see how they justify that storyline. "Well after we just let all the convicts and crazies out to roam the street, we decided to just wall it all off and let them fight it out in there, then they escaped that so now we just took all the normal humans in ships off of Earth, moved to Alpha Centauri, and now they have the whole planet to themselves."

You're fast becoming my favourite writer on this site but come on, the amount of people who were calling BS on this far outweighs those who gave it credence. Running an article on this was a mistake. However, that doesn't mean it's not an understandable mistake given Rocksteady's history with crazy teasers and their quick announcement of a sequel following up Arkham Asylum. I'd brushed it off as a joke myself and am not surprised to see Warner Brothers confirm this, but I also wasn't totally sure considering a similar joke was in Arkham City itself. Be reasonable, internet. It's not as though Patrick rushed out and claimed Batman Arkham World had been all but confirmed.

Batman: Arkham State then first?

I would love love love if Rocksteady veer away from what I call "The Arkham Syndrom" and base their next Batman game , if they are making another batman game, on The Long Halloween. I think it'll be awesome going through the events of that great story. Not to mention that they'll have great characters to work with, have a great chance showing off the origins of a great batman villain, and have a chance integrating Catwoman into the game and not make feel contrive.

I liked Arkham City but I think many of us can agree that the weakest part of the game was the story.
