Hahahaha oh my god that US ICO box art is so fucking amazingly bad! I've only owned the other one.

I don't find the US box art to be abysmal, but the Japan art is definitely much better.

What an awesome idea. Keep the marketing guys happy by using their mess of a cover, but drop the fan requested and more attractive art inside the box. Brilliant, really.

Now, I don't know if this was old news or not, but I do know that some consumers, maybe even me, actually care about this one special thing, and I think that warrants a post. At the very least, he leaves some news to the forums.

If I write the word news one more time, I might implode.

I'm not saying that the original US box art wasn't terrible, but the Japanese version was still fuck-ugly too.

Eh. This ain't pictures of Japanese girls cosplaying as characters from some anime that has a name vaguely like what you might think a video game could be named in Russian.

@Spoonman671: I think the reason this garners more attention than others is the quality of the game. Awful cover to an amazing game is tragic, for some at least.

And I'm sorry, many really, reaaaaaally like the Japanese/Europe cover.

thats like praising someone that they wiped their ass. it was the obvious choice from the beginning. and sony was dumb as fuck for changing it in the first place for ps2.

The reverse side of the Resistance 3 art was pretty awesome as well. I liked the outside art too but I like the clean look without logos. Hopefully this will become a trend with Sony, cause it looks much better.

Never understood the rage from box art, it's fucking box art.. it's going to go on your shelf and you are never going to see it until you pull the game out which is what? like a few times in 10 years?

The main thing to take away from this article is that The Last Guardian will NOT be at TGS. Now excuse me while I go cry in the corner.

Box art, no matter how impressive, is something that I glance at for a half a second before putting the disc in the tray and playing the game itself.
