As an example, Valve points out that in the U.S., this sale brings the price down to an uncomfortably low $9.99. That's five full, excellent games for less than an evening movie ticket in a lot of places.
Maybe you should just go buy a second copy and gift it to someone. How can you afford to miss out on shenanigans like these?
Probably because everyone who would want to play those games already have them so sales have gone down so much. I paid 40-50 bucks for it and that for for ep 2 and Portal only since I had HL2 and ep 1 and don't play TF2 and I still think it was an okey price.
i'm going to but this just on the off chance that the fan made remake of the first Half-Life ever gets made. i have a feeling you will need the two episodes to play it if and when it does come out.
Well the money it might take some people to upgrade their system is a pretty valid excuse to me. Anyway I already played the crap out of these games on 360, if you are a PC Gamer have a decent system and haven't played this then shame on you and go buy this now.
I already have Portal, and whenever I feel like playing Half-Life, I use my friend's copy. Sorry, but I think I'll just save my $10 for Best Buy this Sunday.
I played through portal, own half life 2, episode 1 and team fortress 2. Don't have interest in paying $10 for episode 2 because I probably will never get around to finishing 2 and episode 1.

BEST DEAL EVER INDEEED, its the very first gam eI get legally, serious, here in latin america, you get them for 2$ which due to devaluation and shitty currencies are like 15$, so 10$ is an amazing price for theese regions.

I bought it for 45 bucks from a pre-order and thought I was stealing! I already had HL2 and I still got my money's worth. How can someone say no to this? I buy crappy games for 10 bucks and don't feel that bad about it, but the ORANGE BOX!? Come on, buy it!

Ah, right. You are indeed correct about that. Although the other games are 10 bucks, TF2 alone goes for 20. So if someone has all the other games but is for some reason still missing TF2, here's your chance to get it for half price, plus a couple extra games to give to someone else. :)

I was actually able to run Portal decently on my laptop. Had some framerate issues, but I still had a blast playing it. I can't personally vouch for your laptop, but it might be worth a shot.
