Now that most of you early adopters have had a chance to play through the excellence that is Dead Space 2, it's time for--wait for it--more Dead Space 2! EA just sent out these early shots of the game's first DLC pack, the new story episode called Severed. If you remember, that one will take place at the same time as the main storyline, and stars Gabe and Lexine from Extraction as they become embroiled in some terrible nightmare of their own, elsewhere on Titan Station.
I couldn't be happier that Visceral is cranking out some honest-to-God single-player content, and not just a bunch of multiplayer maps and skins or something. Looks like they're putting some effort into this, with some new enemies and RIG designs, and--wait, what's the cyborg ninja doing in here?
Looks swell to me, but then I'd be willing to consume just about anything with the words "Dead Space" on it at this point, so maybe you shouldn't take my word for it. No date or price for Severed yet, but the add-on has only been announced for 360 and PS3 thus far.
