Thursday Night Throwdown 09/01: Street Fighter III & MK Arcade Kollection

Shame the MK Kollection is so busted.  Was looking forward to dropping money on it.

What lingo? It's not like he was pulling out some SC2 style stuff like 3rax, MMM, or 6pool. He was talking about the game they were playing. I don't see how you can expect someone to talk about a game as technical as 3rd Strike and still constantly appeal to the layman. I've never played 3rd Strike, but I could still follow the conversation.

@Stefanten: Agreed. It's not that there's anything wrong with him, it was just that he was extremely irritating for that entire TNT.

I actually really liked Jared on the bombcast and different tournament streams, but you can't deny he was being really annoying here, talking over people and bringing up stuff nobody cared about. He was also acting extremely childish with all of his excuses when he lost. It's like he was constantly trying to prove that he was good at the game when nobody really cared. I'd honestly be surprised if he was invited back to another one of these.

Anyway, I enjoyed tonight's TNT. I like when they have "experts" on the couch for the game or genre they are playing, because the conversations tend to be really interesting.

I understand mediocre FPS on 360 only for TNT is reasonable, but the ratio of fighting game purcheses should allow PS3 play, it's getting kinda ridiculous.

This has happened before.  It's probably just a mistake, like it was the last time.

What the fuck is going on, since when have TNTs been members only. Taking content away from non-members is no incentive to become a member it just makes me pissed off. Unless something else is messing up, either way you should have told us if it was members only or not.

Yeah, I'm still being indicated that the TNT's for paid members only. Oh well.

Got home cracked a beer and threw on my GB shirt hoping to get in some 3rd strike action on PSN for TNT...only to be sadly disappointed. Hopefully they crack out the PS3 some time during the show, whats up with no PSN duders?
