Uncharted 2 GOTY Shipping In October, Coming With DLC Voucher

Have a PS3 and still don't have Uncharted 2: Among Thieves? On a normal day, this is where I would make a clicking sound and wag my finger in an attempt to shame you into a purchase. But today is not a typical day, because it looks like you, Mr. I-Don't-Have-Uncharted 2, may have made the right decision in holding off. SCE has just announced a $50 Game of the Year version of the oft-hailed game that ships on October 12 with a "super voucher," which gives you access to the following DLC:

• PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack
• Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Multiplayer Pack
• Uncharted 2 Siege Expansion Pack
• Currency Multiplier which grants Double XP up to level 10 in Multiplayer
• Golden Guns option for the AK-47 and the 92FS 9mm pistol for use in Multiplayer
• Early access to “Revenge” Booster -- you still have to purchase it with in-game cash!
• Uncharted: Eye of Indra -- Motion Comic Bundle (which includes Episodes 1-4)
• Uncharted: Eye of Indra -- Rika Raja and Daniel Pinkerton Character Skins
• Uncharted 2: Among Thieves -- Avatar Pack 1
• Uncharted 2: Among Thieves -- Avatar Pack 2
• Uncharted Avatar Pack 3

A voucher? What does this mean? The content is not included on the disc, so you're just paying $50 for the regular game plus some DLC codes?
 
The thing that is so great about game of the year editions is that they seem to usually include all the DLC on the disc, which means that when the next console comes out and they shut down XBOX 360 access to Live, you can still play Fallout 3 or something.

if 60$ for the game alone was an awesome deal, this is magic

I'm starting to think I should just buy GOTY editions from now on. I'll be behind a year in terms of games but I'll get a crap more content :P

If you own a PS3 and don't have this game, you're doing yourself a great disservice. Awesome fun aside, it's still one of the best technical showpieces for your $300+ hardware investment.

Amazing deal for an amazing game. No excuse not to buy this if you have a PS3 and haven't already bought a copy of Uncharted 2.

Sweetness! I'll totally buy this, since I lost my original copy ages ago and still leaves plenty of DLC, too.

Imo, just rent the game, experience the single player and save yourself $50. the single player is an incredible experience... The first time. Not much reason to play it after finishing it.

The multi player is well done, but not really good enough to take you away from other stuff you're probably playing already.

Don't get me wrong, it was an incredible game... I just wish I'd rented it, because I beat it, and its been sitting on my shelf ever since.

Wow...I sold my original copy and sorta thought maybe someday I'd pick up a goty version like this but....no thanks. Multiplayer skins and golden guns...I couldn't care less. It's like even they knew it was a shitty package and were just desperate for extra stuff to justify the pricetag...Pinball Heroes? :|

If you're only interested in the single player, why would't you just buy the regular edition and save $10-20?  Seems like all that extra stuff is multiplayer focused.

You get a game which you could buy for 20 bucks + 35 dollars worth of multiplayer skins. Doesn't sound like a great deal to me at all. Just buy the regular version, or rent it even.

Must say the set pieces are what kept me coming back to this game, but like a lot multi-player just isn't my thing, nice bundle though.

Now i have a reason to buy it, i rented it from gamefly but never wanted to drop 60$ on it.

I bought Uncharted 2 a few months ago but was only gonna start it next week or so.

Excellent value. The online multiplayer community is still quite active too so anyone who hasn't already got it has no excuse now

Incredible game, best of last year and one of the best of all time.  No reason not to get this and if you don't own a ps3, get one.

yeah, nice game and all, but why would you want to get this version at this point? almost all the extra content is either stuff nobody wants or multiplayer crap. now, i now people like their multiplayer, but you know as well as anyone that people buy this game for the single player, and it just makes more sense to buy the regular game for cheap than getting this.

Alright, another sign to get a PS3. Black Friday. For sure.
