[UPDATE] Giant Bomb Premium Accounts On Sale

Oh, and all active premium members get GameSpot Total Access for free next week.

[UPDATE]: Monthly users who have been active for over six-months will get the email from GameSpot later this week as well. We can't open this up to all monthlies for the obvious reason that then non-cool duders (known simply as "dudes") could exploit our system and just buy for a month.

Hey duders. Just a quick note to let you know we've moved our login system from auth.whiskeymedia.com to auth.giantbomb.com. Update those bookmarks or something!

We're also approaching the deadline we set during our pancakes talk to give away free GameSpot Total Access plans for all Giant Bomb premium members who are still active on April 15th April 19th (I added a couple extra days for this promotion). It's our way of saying thanks, and giving you the opportunity to check out GameSpot ad-free for the rest of the year. For those of you who want to still get in on that action, we've set up a $35 sale that lasts till Wednesday night that will still get you the GS coupon as long as you sign up before Wednesday 11:59PM PDT. If you're already an active member, you might want to pick it up to extend your membership another year at a cheaper price.

In any case, here are the major details you need to know.

  • If you're already an active premium member of Giant Bomb, there's nothing you need to do. You'll get an email later this week (prolly Thursday or Friday) from GameSpot with a coupon code. You can apply that code to any account you have over there, or set up a new one.
  • For those grabbing a Giant Bomb subscription this week for the first time, you'll get an email immediately to give you access to Giant Bomb and Comic Vine. Then, later this week you'll get another email from GameSpot with a separate coupon code for use there. Again, it's optional and you can apply it to any GameSpot account you have, or set up a new one.
  • Lastly, this deal does not come with a T-Shirt coupon. If you really want one of those, you can still sign up for a normal subscription at the regular $50 price. You'll still get the GameSpot code later this week as well.

Have no idea what a GameSpot is? These two guys sure do!
