Fuck it, I'll give Tony Hawk another go.

Posted by Mars

I think I will too. Don't know anything about those other games though.

Posted by Y2Ken

Could definitely be interesting.

Ouch...I guess I want Dust, but that's about it. Poor lineup.

Dust and Deadlight seem cool. Others seem...meh. Really wish Shadow Complex 2 would come out.

Posted by Lukeweizer

Oh shit!!! A zombie apocalypse game?!? IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!!!!!

Posted by Brodehouse

That's a weak year.

Last year was just Bastion, some pretenders and Fruit Ninja. But hell, Bastion might be my favorite game of the last decade.

Posted by DerBonk

Really poor lineup :/ Nothing that interests me. Maybe Tony Hawk for nostalgia, but not for more than 10 bucks.

Posted by RichieJohn

That's a good line up. If I got Gold I'd probably buy 4 of the 5.

Posted by YoungBuck

Tony Hawk and Dust look great.

Definitely getting Tony Hawk. Really wish I had it right now. No game relaxes me more than just zoning out in TH, trying to figure out some new line or beat some high score.

The others might be good, who knows. I don't have high hopes for hybrid though. Do we really need another online only multiplayer shooter? When they're good, they're usually kind of bland and bleed into each other, and when they're bad they're terrible. Of course that's what I said about Gotham City Impostors, and I ended up enjoying that.

What I really want is a new shadow complex. Come on. It's been 3 years.

Dust is about the only thing here which actually seems like a (probably) good enough game for their 'Summer of Arcade' thing. Tony Hawk HD is something I'm excited for, but a rerelease here even of a highly-desired game sends the message 'our downloadable game selection is running thin this year'.

This is going to be the weakest Summer of Arcade ever...

Posted by Giantstalker

Hybrid looks great but the rest here aren't even worth a second look. Well, one out of five I suppose is better than none...

Posted by FreakAche

@Giantstalker: Uhh... Tony Hawk?

I'm going to guess the one you wouldn't buy is "Wreckateer" right?

FUCK YEAH DUST WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Posted by ptc

Wreckateer will be the sleeper hit of the summer.

@ptc

Wreckateer will be the sleeper hit of the summer.

I don't know, it's got the heady musk of Dave Lang all over it.

Wreckateer!

Posted by Ley_Lines

Nah, there is only one game called wreckateer in my opinion. Also this will be the first summer of arcade that

I don't want a single one of these games; sad.

That is kinda sad, if even Dust: An Elysian Tale doesn't pique your interest. That game looks crazy fun, and seeing how impressed the GB team was at PAX just enhanced my anticipation for it.

Oh shit! I might seriously get everything! (Or at least the majority of 'em)

Posted by WinterSnowblind

Dust looks incredible and I'm down for some classic Tony Hawking.

Wreckateer looked embarrassingly bad. Not sure about the other two.

Posted by CookieMonster

Weak line up this year. Only thing that vaguely interests me is the back story to Dust.

Posted by Oscar__Explosion

Totally getting Tony Hawk HD and Dust

Posted by Vexxan

Definitely getting Tony Hawk and Dust.

Posted by Zacagawea

Buying Tony Hawk and Dust for sure.

Posted by Tikicobra

Four of these look mediocre at best and Tony Hawk, as good as it may be, is just an HD makeover.

Posted by SockemJetpack

Dust is what I want. One guy made everything but the music so I'm in.

Edited by blueinferno

Oh wow, I feel stupid ha ha. For some reason I mistook Dust for From Dust....wow. Um, but yeah. Tony Hawk for me.

Summer of Lang confirmed

Your wrongness smells from here.

I'm excited about Dust and Hybrid, wary about Tony Hawk HD (because I love the old games), and I don't care about Wreckateer. Wait, what's Deadlight?

zombie plague

Oh, fuck off.

Posted by SpaceJamLunchbox

That's great news for Dust!

Posted by TheMartino

Where the fuck is Retro City Rampage?

Posted by TheMartino

Side note: aware that it's non exclusive so it can't be summer of arcade. Still. Where is it.

Posted by Coolarman

Dust and Tony Hawk. Everything else is irrelevant

Posted by spankingaddict

Deadlight and Dust look great . 2 out of 5 is good enough for me ...

Posted by SpydrMrphy

Dust and Deadlight seem to be amazing and Tony Hawk actually looks interesting, all in all a interesting showing for Summer of Arcade. Seriously Dust and Deadlight are the highlights. Anyone who got to play them at PAX East can attest to that.

Everyone who is complaining about this list, clearly didn't make it to PAX East or play the games if they where there, because if you did you would know how wrong you are.

Posted by KillyDarko

Dust and Deadlight look like they could be interesting.

Posted by Sammo21

Hybrid...i don't know...no single player and me not thinking the mp will last long = crap purchase possibly.

Posted by Winsord

Not really interested in any of these, except for maybe Tony Hawk.

Posted by PeasantAbuse

Cool, I'll definitely buy Tony Hawk and I'm interested to see how Dust and Deadlight turn out.

Posted by Miacosa

Dust and Deadlight seem good, there others are a no go

Posted by MeatBomb

Whelp, I guess Spelunky is never coming out.

Posted by Fearbeard

Looking forward to Dust.

Hybrid looked interesting from what I saw of the beta. I'll give it a try.

Don't know anything about Deadlight.

Tony Hawk HD doesn't do much for me, but I'll try the demo because every once in a blue moon I like a skateboarding game.

I'll check out Wreckateer if I've bothered to unbox my Kinect by the time it comes out. I bought it on sale last fall, but nothing has excited me enough to bother reorganizing my gaming setup to make it usable.

Because as we know everyone has the same tastes.

Aside from Wreckateer, all of these games look quite good in my opinion. Absolutely cannot wait for Dust (oddly, two of my most anticipated games of the year have the word "dust" in the title), Tony Hawk looks great, Deadlight looks interesting, and the Hybrid beta was a lot of fun. Looks like a good summer for XBLA, especially hot on the heels of Minecraft, Fez, and Trials Evo.
