The lists were numerous, but the results have been tallied and now we've got your top games of 2010.

Seems like we'd get along, you and me. You guys know a good game when you see one, and after compiling all of the lists that you made and totaling up the points, BioWare's Mass Effect 2 is your Game of the Year for 2010.

Below, I've included the top 60 games, which is maybe a weird number, but it's the number of games that scored over 500 points in the voting. These results were compiled from the top ten entries on your "Best of 2010" lists. Games appearing in the first slot got 10 points, second place got nine, and so on down the line. The below list offers two numbers with each game, and those are the number of lists that included the game and the total number of points scored, respectively.

Happy to see Heavy Rain, Alan Wake and Enslaved making strong showings.
Deadly Premonition did pretty well too - great year for games.

My top 3 are the same as the top 3 on the list, except Assassins Creed and Red Dead are in the opposite places.   Im glad to see people playing the same games as myself, shows my taste isnt way off just yet lol.

Well, let us put it this way, if the crew had made a ER for cabela's dangerous hunts instead of DP it would be high on this list, it has nothing to do with quality.

Speak for yourself. The actual gameplay mechanics of Deadly Premonition are completely broken, but the storytelling, characters, and charm make that game one of the underrated gems of last year.

Weird there doesn't seem to be many PsP fans on Giant Bomb. Valkyria chronicles and Kingdom hearts lost out to some really awful games.

All of my choices made the 60 & 2 of them are in the same place I put them on my list(Assassin's Creed Bro, & Mass Effect 2).

Glad Bad Company 2 is up there, it's sad that none of the Giant Bomb staff are big fans as it'd be nice if that game got more coverage in the podcasts.

Also I just played Mass Effect 2. Got it last Tuesday and finished it Sunday. Holy shit was it an amazing ride. If I had played it on time it would have been on my list.

Pretty surprising seeing all the old standard franchises from the previous generation being so low on the list. (Mario, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, etc). ALL HAIL THE NEW GODS!

@Green_Incarnate: The number on the right is the amount of points it earned, right? Like a number 1 slot got 10 points and a number 10 slot gets 1. I imagine the other number is how many times it was on a list.

I think one of the biggest shocks, in my mind, is that Game Dev. Story made the list.  Does this mean that the iPhone is actually a viable gaming platform? Probably not, but interesting nonetheless.

@Green_Incarnate: Number on the left is the number of lists the game appeared on, number on the right is it's total points. So Fable appeared on more lists, but for those times it did appear, it was lower in position than Picross 3D was on other lists.

Did you read Jeff's explanation of the numbers?

So it's the second number that counts. The higher up a game was on your list, the more points it got. So a game that everyone put in 10th place would be beaten by a game that 50% of people put in 1st place.
