The game says 6/6, start the game?!  7/8 of the people are ready to start, why are you waiting for this last person?! Start the game!

Anyone else encountering these never ending matchmaking or pre-game lobbies?

I've ran into this myself, but it doesn't take long to realize when ppl aren't ready to get the game going, or that the game is hanging for whatever reason.  Why the game wants 100% ready up instead of a majority is beyond me but only once have I found myself backing out 'cause of AFKs.  The game is almost TOO fast in between sessions, I never have time to take a piss!

If one doesn't start up in a couple of minutes I back out and try again, usually I'll get a quick one in a couple of tries.  Not perfect obviously but it's fun once you get in.

Yeah, I've given up on the "Rematch" feature. I've started just backing out and hitting "Play Now".

I had that issue multiple times today to the point of giving up. I only played one game out of a potential couple.

I've had some trouble with the matchmaking but backing out and trying again generally seems to do the trick.
