I just read a big article in official PlayStation magazine about AC: Brotherhood and sounded pretty cool.
The story behind the multiplayer is you and everyone else are modern-day Templars using the animus to train.
The one mode they explained in the article was called "Wanted". Six to eight players pick charaters like doctor, noble, priest, prowler, cortisone and couple more.
Then they get dumped into a city and given a target like "go kill the player that is playing as a doctor". Now you say how are you going to sneak up on a real player?
Here is the thing I thought was actually smart, your not the only doctor, noble, etc in town. There are like a dozen or so NPC doctors just going about there business and it's your job to find the player controlled one.
KIlling your target gets you XP and evading your assassin gets you XP, You level up get new equpment and special equipible skills like turning into a different charater than you chose for a few minutes. So I think it actually sounds pretty neat and desmon is in the single player, so the actual main story of assassin's creed will actually be pushed forward some.
