It appears that the Xbox Live Marketplace listing for Assassin's Creed III listed "Online Co-Op 2 - 4" before being quickly removed. Currently this information cannot be confirmed, as listings on Xbox Live Marketplace have had incorrect information before. I'm gonna take a stab and say that Co-Op can be assumed, since that would be the only major form of multiplayer missing from the Assassin's Creed series, and it could be another way to sell DLC through Co-Op missions or something similar. Overall I'm quite happy that we will be getting Co-Op since stabbing dudes in the facing is only better with friends.

Very awesome rumor. I could see this being a lot of fun Co-Op and don't see how them doing this could be considered a bad thing by anyone.

Co-op sounds much better than multiplayer. I wouldn't even mind something along the lines of Splinter Cell Convictions "multiplayer"

FUUUUUCK YES. Seriously, I've always wanted to co-op assassinate in this series. I hope there is free roam as well as well-designed sequences in cool locations.

People said literally the exact same thing when it was announced that they were adding competitive multiplayer and look how that turned out.

I think there may be co-op campaign missions but not in a free roam mode. That would probably require changing how the multiplayer currently works to something like Red Dead Redemption's. Then again this game will have a new engine.

I expected more rage. Maybe evdry one got raged out at Brotherhood.


Sasslin' Horde mode. You got a big city square or whatever, crowds passing through and a bunch of guards. You can set up big chain kills where one sassle jumps off a roof and squashes two guards, one hits a second group with a smoke bomb, third cleans up the rest and the fourth shoots the fleeing guard captain with the hidden gun. Then reinforcements come and everyone scatters and blends before they can aggro on... Then they all get sassled!


By the way I call assassinating sassling. Sassle's Creed.

co-op seems like it'll work

If they do it well, that would be the best thing ever.
