I came into Assassins Creed 3 knowing I wasn't a big fan of the first few games. They weren't horrible, but the good parts simply weren't enough to outweigh the annoyances or differences in taste. With AC3 I knew the setting was completely different as well as the characters, enemies and story. That alone was enough for me to give it a shot and I'm glad I did as AC3 while still having some tedious bits also has some amazing ones that are well worth experiencing.
