" Great, there are now more spinoffs than main numbered games.Well, duh. If your counting the spin-offs on handhelds, then of course there are. There's been like 5 or something, but if you're counting consoles only, you're wrong. AC1/AC2+ACB/Revelations.Give me 3 god damn I want to finish abstergo off and see the end of Desmonds story."
Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Game » consists of 16 releases. Released Nov 15, 2011
Assassin's Creed: Revelations is the fourth installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise and the final entry in Ezio Auditore's main storyline. A few levels also put players back in control of the original Assassin's Creed's Altair, and depict his rise to the Mentorship of the Crusades-era Brotherhood of Assassins.
Game Informer cover confirms Altair, Ezio for next AC title.
I've said this in a couple of places but I'll say it again. This makes sense with the whole Desmond being in a coma after Da Vinci's Disappearance thing. The only in story reason they would have for use to play in a different time right now would be having us play as the Eve character that Subject 16 was on about.
My biggest fear? The official line is "Destinies converge in Ezio's final chapter." Not Desmond's. I really want closure on him! They can spin off in a billion different ways after his story is done. If this one ends in another modern-day cliffhanger, I'll be pret-ty bummed out.
Sounds good. Screenshot doesnt offer anything for major excitement though.
I need to hurry up and complete Brotherhood now.
I've no idea why I cant bring myself to finish it.
There is a potential here that Altair and Ezio will be in Constantinople in there respective times and Ezio in modern day Istanbul looking for a temple. However about Altair being a bland character, his development isn't really noticed til the end of AC1 and it isn't noticed for that long. Altair wrote the Codexs and invented the Dual hidden blades, The hidden gun, New techniques ect. I think Altair has the most potential here for character development. For Ezio, I think if anyone has played through all of the Christina Missions in Brotherhood there is definitely potential for development for his character.
But Ezio has to be in his 50's here Brotherhood ends in 1507 at the age of 48, he has armour with the Masayf Assassins symbol on it. The only solution is this takes place after Lost Legacy when he visits the area. He has to be at least 50. He will get a new addition to his Hidden blade changing combat and free-running so there will be change there. Not to mention Desmond sees him during Brotherhood when he is much older.
As for the Desmond portion, apparently this will have more gameplay featuring him than Brotherhood and it will be vastly different.
" They're getting lazy. Give us a new era and character and stop try to make this a yearly franchise! "It's not getting lazy, it's called getting the story completely fleshed out.

As long as they can keep the story fresh and introduce some new gameplay mechanics while fixing the old ones I don't mind a yearly release.I totally agree as long as they do the right thing and actually wrap a bow around this incarnation of the franchise within the next two to three years. Maybe reboot it years later, spin the fiction and gameplay a little. But dragging this story out across ten games would really lessen the impact, as they'd obviously be stretching it out for profit.
I'm gonna jump out of a fucking window.
