What if there was an assassins creed in modern day where you played as a homeless man. It would give you an excuse to wear a hood and run around the city doing odd things while people try to just ignore that fact that some dude is climbing all over stuff.
The citizens wouldn't find it as odd that some sketchy looking dude is just hanging out on a bench all day. It would also lend itself to the fact the citizens don't, or pretend they don't, recognize the same hooded fellow. Or at least why no citizen engages the hooded man in conversation often
Joining the assassins to take down the controlling oppressive Templars would fit in, and it would give more credit to why you have to be sneaky and disappear into a crowd.
This idea came to me while sitting in front of Berkeley library and seeing a rather cool looking homeless dude in a long coat and hood
