Girders are the life blood of most modern architecture. They can be jumped on, climbed up, thrown, or bent by some kind of bending robot.

The "Special" flag in Rally-X doubles the point value of subsequent flags collected. It appears in other Namco games as a recurring symbol or collectible item.

A button is a switch mechanism that is used to control a machine or process.
A map is a drawing on a piece of paper, or other surface, that indicates the locations of various landmarks.
An explosive ordinance propelled by a chemical reaction that causes a controlled explosion resulting in thrust. Rockets are usually "dumb" weapons, meaning that they are not guided. Rockets are the most powerful projectile in many games.
A round generally rubber object used to support and transport motor vehicles. Also used as throwing objects in certain fighting games.
The saw blade can be used as a weapon by the player or the enemy. Saw blades may also appear as traps or obstacles.
Just like in the real world, a Safe is a very solid, secure box that has uses a number combination as a key. In sci-fi games, these can often also be hacked open using either a passive skill or a tool that the player has collected.
Cars go places. Hopefully fast.
An implement for smoking. The bowl is filled (usually with tobacco) and lit with a flame, then the smoke is inhaled through the mouthpiece.

Usually a Button, lever, or computerized scanner used to open, close, power on, turn on, or unlock something. Found common in most games that involve puzzle solving as well as shooters.

Rocks are the hard objects found randomly scattered across the ground all over the Earth's surface. They're not good for much more than smashing stuff or being made into other things. Handily crushes Scissors but cannot defeat the mighty Paper.
An object, sometimes flat, that is tethered to a string for flight. It is best used on windy days.
