The game was also released under the name Rubik's Cube. It is unknown for certain which came first; some stories indicate that it was first released as Rubik's Cube, then re-released as Atari Video Cube to avoid legal issues, while others declare the releases came the other way around, and that Atari changed the name to cash in on the craze.
