Atari
Company »
Atari, Inc. was a video game and home computer company founded in 1972 by Ted Dabney and Nolan Bushnell. It is considered by most to be responsible for the birth of the video games industry as a whole, introducing video games in the home and arcades.
Atari Out Of Europe
It'll probably suck anyways but I was really hoping for a PC release and atleast the beauty of this platform is if it doesn't come out here for it then you can torrent it.
This was already posted here: http://www.giantbomb.com/atari-inc/65-182/sonys-dick-deal-actually-a-bail-out-atari-europe-are-dead/35-242432
This Jeff User may have just misses it, so it's forgivable for now I guess, but in the future it's usually best to continue discussions and add more information to already created posts.
I'm sure a Mod will be along, shortly, to lock this.

Without wanting to be knob or anything - I speculated in the last article that I presumed Atari were having financial difficulties publishing the game in Europe.
Seems like that has been the case. If Sony hadn't moved, no one in Europe would be playing Ghostbusters next month.
I'll still concede though - it sucks for everyone else who was looking forward to the game. Shame to see Atari in this state too.
Can we eat some humble pie on the "dick move" comments though Jeff -- I wanna see you eat humble pie! ;)
so who's the "dick" now Jeff???? hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but in all seriousness, for a professional video game journalist like you Jeff, i suggest you do more research before you start bashing Sony. I know you're a bit anti-Sony deep inside your heart, but comon dude...you know better than that.
"so who's the "dick" now Jeff???? hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!This exclusivity bullshit that's been going on for a long time obviously bothers him, and I think this was just the perfect time for him to rant about it. I think there were very few people who even considered the possibility of Atari getting the hell out of Europe.

"Still a jerk move by Sony even if it doesn't effect me. "Would you prefer it never came out in Europe at all? It's actually possible that Atari tried to sell the game to different publishers as well, but SCEE was the one who got it.
So the difference is you speculate in positive pro-Sony ways and he speculates in the opposite manner. Still speculations, nobody's right... The fact they are in such financial trouble only reinforces the possibility they were paid to keep it exclusive for x number of months. The rest versions will be published eventually, why not at the same time? Just because the partnership isn't officially formed? Publish under the Namco label for now, then, or whoever has the means to in the region. Makes no sense to delay it for a platform when they have agreements in place, even if semantics like how the new publishing platform will be called aren't official yet...
"@Luke:Lol, I was just kidding and jumping on the hate on Jeff bandwagon, in my own little way :p
Uhhh, this is "Jeff's" site. I'm sure if any low-level mod locked the thread, Jeff would PWN them??? I'm really confused as to what you're getting at.
But regardless, it did give me an idea... How about the GB Staff start promoting already existing Community Forum Discussions to Front Page Articles, if the Topic Created Post is deemed well written enough, as to not duplicate posts.
Huh, huh?
i suppose this is a bit weird. Buts its deffiantely not the worse case scenario for the wii, ds and xbox 360. I suppose because Ghostbusters is Sony's intellectual property they could just say "look the wii, ds and xbox 360 aren't getting it at all" and nothing could be done about it
