    Overview

The full title for the latest addition to the now several console generations long Atelier series is Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk. The game's protagonist, as you may have guessed, is a young alchemist named Ayesha. She is the sole operator of a small herbalist shop that was left to her by her grandfather.

This is the first game on the PlayStation 3 in the Atelier series to take place outside of the Arland trilogy.

The game was released in Japan on June 28, 2012. It due out in the US on March 5, 2013, with Gust's parent company Tecmo Koei publishing instead of NIS America which handled the previous entries in the series. NIS America has stated that they will still be doing the localization of the game, even though they are no longer publishing it.

    Plot

The story revolves around Ayesha and her quest to find her sister, Nio, that went missing one day several years ago while gathering herbs at a nearby ruin. Ayesha returns to the ruin on the anniversary of the day Nio went missing to pay her respects, just as she was about to leave a ghostly figure of her sister appears and calls out. A travelers comments to her that she should be able to find her sister if she studies both alchemy and the strange glowing flowers that are around the ruin. This starts Ayesha off on her journey to save her sister.
