Atlus is a Japanese game developer and publisher.

Overview

Atlus is a Japanese video and computer game developer and publisher. The company is most notably famous for publishing the Shin Megami Tensei games. Most of such games have made it to most major platforms in some variation or spin-off series. Their company mascot for both Atlus USA and Atlus Japan is Jack Frost from the Shin Megami Tensei games. The US division is primarily a publisher, specializing in bringing over obscure DS and PS2 titles, as well as translating some of the recent Shin Megami Tensei titles for the PlayStation 2.

Atlus currently has no in-house PAL localization, with their games in this region being localized by publishers such as Ghostlight ( Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2, Lucifer's Call), Koei ( Persona 3, Persona 3: FES, Devil Summoner) and Square Enix ( Persona 4).
